Item Ekstrak Kulit Buah Manggis (Garcinia Mangostana) Sebagai Inhibitor Korosi Baja Lunak Dalam Media Asam Klorida(2013-01-17) Aryswan, AdheINHIBITOR KOROSI BAJA LUNAK DALAM MEDIA ASAM KLORIDA Adhe Aryswan1, R. Usman Rery, Maria Erna Program Studi Pendidikan Kimia Fakultas Keguruan dan Ilmu Pendidikan Universitas Riau ABSTRACT Mangosteen rind extract has been used as an inhibitor of mild steel corrosion in HCl medium. The determination of the corrosion inhibition efficiency was calculated by using weight loss method. The optimum conditions were determined by the variation of corrosive media concentration, the variation of contact time and the variations of extract concentration. The result showed that the efficiency of optimum corrosion inhibition was 59,07%, with the condition of 0.5 M HCl medium concentration, 5-days contact time in the extract concentration of 200 ppm. The inhibition of mangosteen rind extract occurred spontaneously through chemisorption on metal surfaces. It was shown from the Gads of major component in mangosteen rind, namely -mangostin for -47,0526 kJ mol-1Item Isolasi Dan Uji Aktivitas Senyawa Aktif Sitotoksik Dari Tumbuhan Akar Tapak Kuda (Bauhinia hullettii Prain)(2013-07-27) Nurchandari, AciThis study aimed to isolate the active cytotoxic compound from akar tapak kuda (Bauhinia hullettii Prain) and tested its cytotoxic activity using BSLT method. Sample studied was leaves of akar tapak kuda. Phytochemical screening results showed that sample contains triterpenoid, steroid, flavonoid, phenolic and saponin compounds. As much as 1,4 kg of sample in the form of dry powder was extracted by maceration method using solvent n-hexane, dichloromethane, ethyl acetate and methanol. Extraction resulted 28,6368 g of n-hexane fraction, 39,1009 g of dichloromethane fraction, 21,3175 g of ethyl acetate fraction and 113,9438 g of methanol fraction. Cytotoxic activity test has been conducted to dichloromethane, ethyl acetate and methanol fractions. The results of test showed that LC50 values of n-hexane, dichloromethane and methanol fractions were 123,7758 ppm, 2.729,1905 ppm and 829,7525 ppm, respectively. It means that ethyl acetate fraction was not active cytotoxic, while dichloromethane and methanol fractions were active cytotoxic. Dichloromethane fraction was the most active fraction so that its separation needs to be continued. As much as 30 g of concentrated dichloromethane fraction was separated using chromatography technique, namely vacuum liquid chromatography and gravity column chromatography with various eluent systems. Separation resulted 231 mg white needle-shaped crystal as isolate that contained of two spot based on TLC analysis. Phytochemical test indicates that the isolate was triterpenoid and steroid compounds. The results of cytotoxic activity test showed that LC50 value of the isolate was 605,1815 ppm. From observations during the field experience implementing programs in SMA Negeri 10 Pekanbaru in September 2011 until January 2012, it appears that the way of presenting student worksheets seem monotonous and less varied in particular on the subject of Atomic Structure and the Periodic System of Elements the first grade. This causes students are less motivated and less actively involved in the learning activities, resulting in students’ achievement on the subject of Atomic Structure and the Periodic System of Elements is still relatively low. Based on this, done research on giving student worksheets form of crossword puzzles to improve students’ achievement on the subject of Atomic Structure and the Periodic System of elements the first grade. This research is an experimental research with pretest-posttest design. The time of data collection was conducted in July until September 2012. The population in this research is the first year students of SMA Negeri 10 Pekanbaru of the academic year 2012/2013 consisting of nine classes. The research sample consisted of two homogeneous classes, the class X.8 as the experimental class and the class X.4 as the control class. The experiment class was treated giving student worksheets form of crossword puzzles, whereas the control class was given usual learning. The data collection technique is the technique of test. Technique of data analysis used is the t-test. The results of the analysis of hypothesis data showed that t-value is greater than t-table is 2.48 > 1.675, so it can be concluded that giving student worksheets form of crossword puzzles can improve students’ achievement on the subject of Atomic Structure and the Periodic System of Elements the first grade of SMA Negeri 10 Pekanbaru.Item Pemberian Materi Prasyarat Untuk Meningkatkan Prestasi Belajar Siswa Pada Pokok Bahasan Larutan Penyangga Di Kelas XI SMA Negeri 1 Pekanbaru(2013-06-24) Siska, AyuResearch on the provision of material preconditions have been conducted to determine whether provision the material precondition can improve student achievement on the buffer solution subject in class XI SMAN 1 Pekanbaru. The research’s form is an experimental research with pretest-posttest design. The research was conducted on the even semester in academic year 2012/2013. The sample consisted of two classes, class XI Science 2 as the experimental and class XI Science 1 as the control class which randomly selected after tests of normality and homogeneity . Experimental class was treated by giving material precondition, while the control class was not given precondition material. Provision of material precondition was done to establish the precondition knowledge that students are more receptive to further learning. Data collection technique used is the test. Data analysis technique used is the t-test. Based on the results of the final data processing obtained t count > ttable, it is 3,08 > 1,67. This shows that the provision of material preconditions can improve student achievement on the buffer solution subject in class XI SMAN 1 Pekanbaru, the effect of an increase of 13.68%.Item Pemberian Materi Prasyarat Untuk Meningkatkan Prestasi Belajar Siswa Pada Pokok Bahasan Reaksi Redoks Di Kelas X SMA Negeri 4 Pekanbaru(2013-06-24) Novriani, Ulfa; AtikaThis research purpose to determine whether knowledge preconditions can improve student achievement on the subject of Oxidation Reduction Reaction in class X SMAN 4 Pekanbaru. This research is a form of experimental research with pretest and posttest design. The research was conducted between the 12th of March until 9 April 2013. The sample consisted of two classes, the class as a class experiment is X.5 and X.1 class as the class of a randomized control after homogeneity test. Experimental class was given the knowledge preconditions while the control class without giving the knowledge preconditions. The data analysis technique used in this study was the statistical test using the t test. Performed by t test values obtained tcount> t table , it is 4.53> 1.67. (0761) 63266 ABSTRACT Based on information from a chemistry teacher at SMAN 2 Siak Hulu is known that there are still many low student learning outcomes, especially on the subject of nomenclature X High School class of compounds. Learning method which has been used teacher-centered lecture method. This affects student achievement, for it carried out the research with guided note-making strategies to improve student achievement in the subject class of compounds nomenclature X SMAN 2 Siak Hulu. Time data collection that is dated November 3 to December 9. The sample in this study is X.8 class as a class experiment and X.6 class as the control class. Data collection techniques in this study is to test techniques. Data gathered from test data taken from the value of homogeneity test chemical bond students on the class of X and hypothesis test data taken from the difference between posttest and pretest values. Data analyzed by t-test is to determine the increase in academic achievement between experimental classes and control classes. Research result revealed thas making of Guided Note-taking was capable to improve student’s achievement in chemistry especially in hydrocarbon topic (tarithmetic > ttable ; 2,89 > 1,67).Item Penerapan Macromedia Flash Untuk Meningkatkan Prestasi Belajar Siswa Pada Pokok Bahasan Ikatan Kimia Di Kelas X Sma Negeri 2 Siak(2013-02-12) Puspitaloka, AnabellaThe research about aplication of learning media Macromedia Flash to increase student’s achievement in chemistry especially chemistry bonding at 10th on SMAN 2 Siak had done in November 2012. The purpose of this research was to know if the application of learning media Macromedia Flash increase student achievement in chemical bonding. Subject of this research were students at X.5 and X.6 in academic year 2012/2013 that had tested its normality and homogeneity. X.5 as experiment class and X.6 as control class was randomly selected. Macromedia flash applied in X.5 class. Research results revealed that application Macromedia Flash was capable to improve student’s achievement in chemistry especially in chemical bonding (tcount > ttable; 4,84>1,67). The improvement of student’s achievement in experiment class was supported by N-Gain score 0,61 that included in medium category. Thus, it can be concluded that Macromedia Flash in chemical bonding effective to increase student’s achievement on SMAN 2 Siak.Item Penerapan Media Animasi Untuk Meningkatkan Prestasi Belajar Siswa Pada Pokok Bahasan Laju Reaksi Kelas XI IPA SMA Negeri 12 Pekanbaru(2013-06-10) Patiwi, RizkiThe research conducted by using the application of animation media that was done to know the increasing of students’achievement in reaction rate subject at class XI Science SMAN 12 Pekanbaru. The type of this research is experiment design with pretest-posttest control group. The time allocation in taking data was on November 2012. The sample consisted of two classes, that is XI Science 2 as the experiment class and XI Science 1 as the control class. The application of animation media and cooperative learning type STAD was given to the experiment class while the control class was given the application of cooperative learning type STAD only. Data analysis technique used is the t -test. The research results showed that t hit > ttab that is 11,151 > 1,67 and coefficient of this influence (Kp) as big as 64,31%. Hypothesis stated that “the application of animation media could increase the students’achievement of study in reaction rate subject in class XI Science SMAN 12 Pekanbaru” is accepted. The use of appropriate media in the process of learning is required so that student feel interested and motivated to learn. The research’s form is an experimental research with pretest-posttest design. The research was conducted on the even semester in academic year 2012/2013. The sample consisted of two classes, Majoring Images class as the experimental class and Majoring Sofware Engineering class (RPL) as the control class which randomly selected after homogeneity tests. Based on the results of observations conducted by researchers at the MA Anshor Al Sunnah Air Tiris do known that learning is teacher centered, so that students become less active and negatively affect student achievement. The objective was to determine the increase in student achievement and increase student achievement category. The research form is an experimental research with pretest-posttest design. The sample consisted of two classes, namely class XI B1 as the experimental group and the class XI B2 as the control group. The experimental group is the group of students who were treated by applying the active learning of Cooperative Script method, while the control group was treated with information discussion methods. Data analysis technique used is the t-test. The results showed t arithmetic>ttable (1,975 > 1,69726) and N-gain of the experimental group is 0,757 which includes the high category. This method of research is pre-experiment with pretest-posttest design. The data collection technique used is test technique and the data processing used is statistics t test. From the hypothesis test processing can get count t value > ttable (2,219> 1,67). The first graders of SMA Negeri 3 Pekanbaru which were at the end of the second semester of 2011/2012 were the subjects of the research. In this case, there were two classes selected randomly to be experimental and control groups. To collect the data, lesson plan and tests were employed as research instrument. The influence of using the Learning Cycle 6E model on the students’ learning results was analyzed by comparing the difference of pretest-posttest of the experimental and control groups. Based on the T-test one point of view, it was acquired that t-value > t-table (1,793 > 1,671). One of learning models that can be used to improve learning results is Learning Cycle 6E. The purpose of this research was knowing increasing of students’ learning results at class XI Science SMAN 3 Pekanbaru on colloid system. In this case, there were two classes selected randomly to be experimental and control groups. To collect data, the syllabus, the lesson plans, reading material, student worksheets, problem elaboration and evaluation questions are used as research instruments. The influence of using the Learning Cycle 6E model on the students’ learning results was analyzed by comparing the difference of posttest-pretest of the experimental and control groups after the whole materials were already taught. Based on the T-test one point of view, it was found that tvalue > ttable (2,5416 > 1,671). The learning model of Aptitude Treatment Interaction (ATI) is a learning model that adjust the characteristics of learning to the students' abilities. Students were divided into three groups based on their ability (high, medium, and low). Then they are given a different treatment to each group according to their ability. This research is experimental research with pretest-posttest design. The sample consisted of two homogeneous classes, class XI IPA-6 as an experimental class and class XI IPA-5 as the control class. Experimental class was treated by the application of learning models Aptitude Treatment Interaction (ATI), while the control class is not treated. The data analysis technique used is the t-test. From the results of data processing t observed is greater than t-table that is 2.37 greater than 1.6. This research aimed to increase students’ achievement in learning oxidation-reduction reaction (redox) at grade X class of SMAN 5 Pekanbaru. The students were divided into three groups with different ability (high, moderate, and low). This research was used pretest-posttest control group design. Hypothesis was measured by n-gain and t-test. From the result ngain experiment class is bigger than n-gain control class (0,89 > 0,71; 0,72 > 0,53; and 0,57 > 0,55) and t observed was 1,90 meanwhile t table was 1,67. It indicated that t observed > than t table. It means the Ho was rejected and H1 was accepted. The sample in this study was a class XI IPA 5 as the experimental class and XI IPA 1 as the control classes. Data collection techniques in this study is the technique of the test, the data obtained from the difference of pretest-posttest value as the test data hypothesis. Data were analyzed by t-test calculations which used to determine the improvement of student learning outcomes and gain normalized (N-gain) to determine the category of improving student learning outcomes. The value of the average normalized gain student learning outcomes experimental class and control class respectively, are 0.735 and 0.625 were categorized as high and medium. The analysis showed that the application of cooperative learning model CRH can improve student learning outcomes with the real level of 5% price obtained tcount > ttable is 3.321> 1.67.
