Abstract
A research on the application of learning models Aptitude Treatment Interaction (ATI) has been carried out with the aim to improve the learning outcomes of students about colloid subject in class XI SMAN 5 Pekanbaru. The learning model of Aptitude Treatment Interaction (ATI) is a learning model that adjust the characteristics of learning to the students' abilities. Students were divided into three groups based on their ability (high, medium, and low). Then they are given a different treatment to each group according to their ability. This research is experimental research with pretest-posttest design. The sample consisted of two homogeneous classes, class XI IPA-6 as an experimental class and class XI IPA-5 as the control class. Experimental class was treated by the application of learning models Aptitude Treatment Interaction (ATI), while the control class is not treated. The data analysis technique used is the t-test. From the results of data processing t observed is greater than t-table that is 2.37 greater than 1.6. So it can be concluded that the application of learning models Aptitude Treatment Interaction (ATI) can improve student learning outcomes on the colloid subject in class XI SMAN 5 Pekanbaru.
