The aim of this study is to observe the effect of glibenclamide and Pandanus conoideus Lam oil combination on rat’s renal tubule. Diabetes was induced by streptozotocin (60 mg/kg;intraperitoneal). Rats were randomly divided into normal group, diabetic group, diabetic group administered glibenclamide and diabetic group administered combination of glibenclamide and Pandanus conoideus Lam oil. The animals were treated with glibenclamide and Pandanus conoideus Lam oil once daily for 14 days. The diabetic group showed hypertrophy of proximal cells tubule, Ebstein Armanni lession and proximal tubular dilatation. These features were reduced on diabetic group administered combination of glibenclamide and Pandanus conoideus Lam oil. This study concludes that combination of glibenclamide and Pandanus conoideus Lam oil administration can prevent the progression of renal tubular injury on diabetic rats.Item PENGARUH GLIBENKLAMID KOMBINASI MINYAK BUAH MERAH (Pandanus conoideus Lam.)
