Abstract
Investment Soil Transmitted Helminthes (STH) is a disease caused by
infestation of Ascaris lumbricoides, Trichuris trichiura, and hookworm. The
prevalence of STH infestation found many elementary school students are
related to poor hygine behavior. One result of STH infestation associated with
nutritional status. This research aimed to determine the relationship between
hygiene behavior and nutritional status with STH infestation on SDN 008
Sukaping Subdistrict Pangean District Kuantan singingi. This research use
method an analytical cross sectional study in in 61 respondents. To see the
relationship between hygiene behavior and nutritional status of the infestatin STH
assessed with chi square test to test alternatives Fisher. From the data analysis it
was found that hygiene behaviors related to the investment STH (p value =
0,002). Disciples who behave badly hygiene risk 16 times of infestation STH
more likely than students who good hygiene behavior (OR = 15,7, 95% CI =
1,907-128,952). In addition there is also a relationship between STH infestation
and nutritional status (p value = 0,00).
