Item Analisis Aktivitas Dan Sikap Ilmiah Mahasiswa Dengan Model Pengajaran Langsung Berbasis Inkuiri Pada Mata Kuliah Sistematika Invertebrata(2013-07-11) Suryana, AdeThis research has purpose to know the activities and scientific attitude of students with Direct Instruction based Inquiry model on Invertebrate Systematics learning. This research is a descriptive research, that was conducted from March to June 2013. The samples in this research were the students of Biology Education who take course Invertebrate Systematics in academic year 2012/2013, amount to 110 students, who divided into 3 classes. Class A amount to 46 students, class B amount to 42 students and class C amount to 22 students. Parameters measured at this research were activities and scientific attitude of students. The data retrieval activities and scientific attitude of students using observation sheets and peer assessment questionnaires. The results showed that, activities of students in good category (78.23%) and the scientific attitude of students in good category (76.88%). The sample of this research was the university students at the second semester of 2011-2012 with total population 45 students that consisted of 38 famales and 7 males. The research instrument used questionnaire covered, the research parameter which involve 5 syb items namely: 1) Concern for the environment, 2) environment knowladye, 3) material application integrates environmental science, 4) implementation of environment knowladye, and 5) work in environment management. The result of the research showed that min score classically students already had an attitude toward environmental awareness gorized good min score 4.26. the need for knowladye of the environment for the student to get Min score 3.64 (good). The application of science materials in the development of integrated environment curriculum obtained Min score 4.50 (good). The implementation of environment knowladye gain Scores 4.68 (good). The work in environmental management categorized good by obtained Min scor 4.53 (good). Based on the result of this research concluded that the level of students awareness to protect the environment was good and had become a necessity for them.Item Efektivitas Chitosan Kulit Udang Terhadap Nilai Gizi Tahu Sebagai Sumber Belajar Biologi Dengan Model Pembelajaran Di (Direct Intruction) Pada Konsep Bioteknologi(2013-03-14) Azora, GemalaChitosan is an alternative shells as a preservative. The study was conducted to determine the effectiveness of chitosan shells to tofu the nutritional value as a source of biological studies with model DI (Direct instruction) on the concept of biotechnology. This study used an experimental method to completely randomized design (CRD) factorial, the first factor consisting of chitosan concentration 0gr, 1 gram, 2 grams, 3gr, 4gr, 5gr, the second factor is the time of immersion is 0 hours, 1 hour and 2 hours, whereas the parameters levels of protein, fat, water and organoleptic. Data analysis was performed by ANOVA. If there are further tested significantly different Duncan Multiple Range Test (DMRT) at the level of 1%.To determine the relationship between the concentration of chitosan with high levels of protein, fat and water analysis regression model Y = a + bx. The results showed that administration of chitosan increased levels of protein in the know, on the contrary provision of chitosan reduce levels of fat and water in the tofu. Organoleptic tofu has aroma, texture, and color is good. The results chitosan can be used as a learning resource materials development LKS High School on the concept of biotechnology.Item Efektivitas Chitosan Kulit Udang Terhadap Nilai Gizi Mie Basah Sebagai Sumber Belajar Biologi Dengan Model Pembelajaran Problem Based Learning Pada Konsep Bioteknologi(2013-03-13) Yanti, WidraChitosan shrimp shell chitosan can be used as an alternative preservative, this research was conducted to determine the effectiveness of chitosan shrimp shells of an nutritional value of wet noodles as a source of biological studies with a model problem based learning in biotechnology concepts. The research was used experiment motode with completely randomized design (CRD) which consisting of 5 treatment and 3 repetition. Data analysis with ANOVA analysis, if there is a real difference which further tests conducted Duncan Multiple Range Test (DMRT). There was used relationship between the concentration of chitosan with protein levels , carbohydrate, and water with regression as Y = a + bx. Results of research show provision of chitosan can increase protein and carbohydrate levels of a noodle, otherwise provision of chitosan can be lower noodle water level. Noodle organoleptik have good smell, good colour and good texture. Results of the research can be using as an exercise student (LTS) learning material at high school (SMA).Item Efektivitas Chitosan Kulit Udang Terhadap Nilai Gizi Bakso Sebagai Sumber Belajar Biologi Dengan Model Problem Based Learning Pada Konsep Makanan Dan Sistem Pencernaan(2013-03-13) Marta, EniChitosan is a natural preservative that is derived from the polysaccharide chitin that can be used as a preservative. This research was conducted to determine the effectiveness of chitosan shrimp shells of an nutritional value of was meatballs as a source of biological studies with a model of Problem Based Learning in food and digestive system concept. The research using experimental methods with Completely Randomized Design (CRD) factorial pattern, the first factor consisting of chitosan concentration of 0 g, 1 g, 2 g, 3 g, 4 g and 5 g. The second factor consists of soaking time 0 minutes, 30 minutes and 60 minutes, with 3 repitition. The parameters measured levels of protein, fat, water and organoleptic. Data analysis with ANOVA analysis, if there is a significant difference test was done up Duncan Multiple Range Test (DMRT) at the level of 1% to determine the relationship between the concentration of chitosan with high levels of protein, fat and water doing by regression analysis with the model Y = a + bx. Results of research showed, chitosan increased levels of protein, fat levels in the meatballs. Instead giving chitosan can be lowers meatball water level. Organoleptic have good flavor, good texture, good colour and good taste. Result of the experiment can be using as an LTS learning material in senior high school (SMA) in the concept of food and digestive system.Item Efektivitas Fitoremediasi Limbah Cair Pabrik Kelapa Sawit Dengan Menggunakan Tanaman Typha Angustifolia Terhadap Komposisi Dan Diversitas Mikro Arthropoda Tanah Sebagai Sumber Belajar(2013-03-13) Warniaty, DewiThis research is intended to find out the composition and diversity of Soil Micro Arthropods toward the phytoremediation of palm factory wastewater by used Typha angustifolia plant and the used of research finding as a learning source. This research was conducted in Laboratory Biology Education Riau University from July to December 2012. The model of this research is Constructed Treatment Wetland (CTW) in type of Free Water Surface (FWS), forward palm factory wastewater dischanged in each basin. The measured parameters are composition and diversity of soil Micro Arthropods and the soil physical and chemical factors including organic contents, pH and soil temperature. The research finding was analyzed descriptively as a learning source in subject of biodiversity. The research finding shows that there is improvement of the composition and diversity of soil Mikro Arthropods on the phytoremediation of wastewater. The research finding can be used as a teaching material in students exercise.Item Efektivitas Model Siklus Belajar (Learning Cycle) Terhadap Penguasaan Konsep Dan Kemampuan Dasar Bekerja Ilmiah Pada Pembelajaran Ipa Kelas VII SMP Negeri 20 Pekanbaru(2013-08-19) Hesti, Seltipa YThis study aims to determine the effectiveness of the learning cycle model to the mastery of concepts and basic skills of scientific work on biology learning class VII SMP Negeri 20 Pekanbaru. This study was conducted in March-June 2013. This is a type of quasi-experimental study with a sample of class VII 1 as control class and class VII 3 as the experimental class. The parameters used in the study are the mastery of concepts and students' basic skill of scientific work. To determine students' mastery of concepts given in the form of pre test and post test while to learn the basic skills of students of scientific work carried out by observations. Analysis was done by descriptive analysis and inferential data by t-test. The results showed significant differences between the experimental class concept mastery and control class (thit 3,73 > ttable 1,99). There are significant differences in the basic skills of scientific work between the experimental class and the control class (t hit 3.37 > ttable 1.99 ). Based on the researched, learning cycle model is effective against the mastery of concepts and basic skills of scientific work class VII student of SMP Negeri 20 Pekanbaru.Item Efektivitas Penambahan Ekstrak Ubi Jalar Ungu (Ipomoea Batatas Var. Saccharata) Dengan Menggunakan Inokulum Lactobacillus Acidophilus Dan Bifidobacterium Sp.(2013-04-03) Kurnia Sari, DianThis research aims to know the effectiveness addition of purple sweet potatoes extract and skim milk to sweet corn yoghurt’s lactic acid and pH by using Lactobacillus acidophilus and Bifidobacterium sp. The research held in Biological Laboratory of Educational Faculty and Chemical Laboratory Of Result and Fishery of Riau University. Research design have been used was factorial completed randomized design (RAL factorial) which consisted of two factor. First factor is the addition of purple sweet potatoes extract with concentration are 0%, 5%, 10%, 15% and second factor is skim milk with concentration are 0%, 3%, 5%, 7%. Parameter of research consisted of lactic acid and pH which analysed by using the ANAVA and continued with DMRT level 5%. The result showed that the addition of purple sweet potatoes extract and skim milk affected sweet corn yoghurt’s lactic acid and pH significantly. The combination of purple sweet potatoes extract and skim milk addition most effective at U15S5 (purple sweet potatoes extract 15%, skim milk 5%) with lactic acid 1.216% and pH 3,623.Item Efektivitas Penambahan Madu Dan Susu Skim Terhadap Kadar Asam Laktat Dan Ph Yoghurt Kacang Hijau (Phaseolus Radiatus L.) Dengan Menggunakan Inokulum Streptococcus Thermophilus Dan Lactobacillus Bulgaricus(2013-04-03) Citra Dewi, ErlynThis research is to analyse effectiveness of honey and skim milk addition to levels of lactic acid and pH of yoghurt mung bean (Phaseolus radiatus L.) using by inoculum Streptococcus thermophilus and Lactobacillus bulgaricus. Design the study is completely randomized design factorial with two factors and 3 replications. The first factor that is addition of honey 0%, 2.5%., 5%., and 7.5% and the second factor is addition of skim milk 0%, 5%, 10%, and 15%. The design response analyzed using ANOVA and tested further by Duncan’s Multiple Range Test (DMRT) at level 5%. The result showed the addition of honey and skim milk significant effects to levels of lactic acid and pH. From the results concluded that the combination of honey 5% and skim milk 15% produces yogurt green beans with the best levels of lactic acid and pH of yoghurt mung bean.Item The Excellence Class Learning Atmosphere Of English For Biology II Biology Education Study Program Faculty Of Teacher Training And Education University Of Riau(2013-08-24) Herdiah, GustiA descriptive study on learning atmosphere in the excellence Biology Teacher’s Education Program, The Faculty of Teacher Training and Education, University of Riau has been conducted in the Even Semester of the Academic Year 2012/2013. The objective was to find out the learning atmosphere in English for Biology II courses. As much as eighteen students have been defined as the total respondents by total sampling technique. Data of seven indicators learning atmosphere, namely: (1) cohesiveness, (2) lecture support, (3) involvement, (4) investigation, (5) task orientation, (6) cooperation, and (7) lecture equity obtained by questionnaire What Is Happening In this Class (WIHIC). The questionnaire was valid (r xy0,54> critical values 0,3) dan reliabel (r 110,96> critical values0,7). The questionnaires were directly ditributed to the respondents at the end of the semester. Supplements data were taken by video recording during the learning process. All data were analyzed descriptively. The results showed that learning atmosphere English for Biology II were considered very conducive from aspects of cohesiveness of relationship between students, task orientation, cooperation and lecture equity. While the lecture support, involvement, and student investigations were considered is enough conducive. In clonclusion, the learning atmosphere of English for Biology II by using Research-based teaching were considered was enough conducive. However, the learning atmosphere of English for Biology II is still needs to be improved in order to become very conducive, especially with regard to indicators of lecturer support, student involvement and investigationItem Fitoremediasi Limbah Cair Kelapa Sawit Dengan Typha Angustifolia Dalam Sistem Lahan Basah Buatan Sebagai Sumber Belajar Konsep Pencemaran Lingkungan Bagi Siswa Sma Kelas X(2013-03-28) Fitria, LeniResearch on phytoremediation of palm oil wastewater by Typha angustifolia within constructed wetland (CTW) as learning source for high school was conducted. The aim of this research is to observe potency of T. angustifolia within constructed wetland in improve palm oil wastewater quality. Free Water Surface of CTW was use in this research, compiled into one set that consist of 4 basin. Palm oil waste water was discharged into basin with Typha angustifolia plant respectively form: (A) Palm oil wastewater pass basin 1st, (B) Palm oil wastewater pass basin 2nd, (C) Palm oil wastewater pass basin 3rd, (D) Palm oil wastewater pass basin 4th. Parameter to be measured are BOD, COD, TSS, oil, and pH, analyzed at 1st, 4th, 8th, and 12th week after discharged. Data were analyzed by description analysis. The experiment results showed that BOD value was decrease attain 95.21%, COD value was decrease attain 91.36%, TSS value was decrease attain 99.07%, oil/grease value was decrease attain 94.09%, while pH value still within the range of quality standard. T. angustifolia could be used for palm oil wastewater treatment by phytoremediation. The results of this research could be used as alternative learning source in the form of Student Assignment Sheet on environmental pollution concept for grade X high school student.Item Implementasi Model Pembelajaran Kooperatif Tipe Problem Posing Untuk Meningkatkan Kemampuan Berfikir Kreatif Dan Hasil Belajar Biologi Siswa Kelas Vii4 Smpn 21 Pekanbaru Tahun Ajaran 2011/2012(2013-02-15) Alia, R.C ShalolyThe purpose of classroom action research is to improve the ability to think creatively and learning outcomes Biology class VII4 SMP 21 Pekanbaru in academic year 2011/2012 through the implementation of cooperative learning model problem posing type. The research was conducted in May 2012. The parameters in this study is the ability to think creatively and student learning outcomes. Creative thinking ability of students can be seen from three indicators: Fluency, fleksibility, and elaboration. The value of creative thinking abilities of students in the first cycle are categorized simply by the average value of 70.73 and the implementation of the second cycle are categorized either by the average value of 85.84. The results of student’s can be seen from the value of capability student’s, mastery learning, and awards groups. Average absorption of students in the first cycle is 69.76 (less), while in the second cycle was 81.62 (good). Mastery learning students in the first cycle is 67.44% in the second cycle increased to 95.34%. Award group in the first cycle are awarded one group super group increased to 3 groups who won the super group. Student activity in cycle I was 74.19% (average) increased to 93.72% (good) on the second cycle. All teachers in the first cycle was 91.17% (good) and the second cycle was 97.05% (good). From the results of this study concluded that the implementation of cooperative l earning model problem posing type can enhance creative thinking and learning outcomes Biology students class VII4 Pekanbaru SMP 21 in academic year 2011/2012. The research was conducted in April to June 2012 with research subjects are students of class X 3 Senior High School No. 5 Pekanbaru amounting to 33 people, consist of 16 male students and 17 female students. The parameters in this study is the scientific attitude of students consisting of six indicators of cooperation, honesty, discipline, responsibility, communicative and curiosity and creative thinking skills of students consisting of four indicators: fluency, flexibility, originality, and elaboration. The results showed that the average scientific attitude of students in the first cycle is 69.52% (less category) increased to 83.15% (category enough). Average creative thinking skills of students has increased from the first cycle is 63.75% (less category) to 75.38% (less category). Based on the results of this study concluded that the implementation of cooperative learning model type of picture and picture to enhance scientific attitude and creative thinking skills of students in Biology subject in class X 3 Senior High School No. 5 Pekanbaru in Academic Year 2011-2012.Item Implementasi Pembelajaran Kontekstual Rangka Berbasis Pendidikan Karakter Untuk Meningkatkan Kemampuan Pemecahan Masalah Dan Keterampilan Proses Siswa Dalam Mata Pelajaran Biologi Kelas Xi Ia.2 Sman 1 Bintan Tahun Ajaran 2011/2012(2013-03-28) Yurmiyanty, SriThere was applied the Class Action Research (CAR) in order to increase student’s problem solving skills, science process skills and Biology study result of class XII IA.2 in SMAN 1 BINTAN by applying RANGKA contextual teaching and learning based character education. The research was conducted in March and June 2012. Subject on the research was 33 students. The research was the Class Action Research (CAR) collaboration with biology’s teacher. The parameters in take focus on problem solving skills, science process skills and Biology study result. The students' problem solving skills in the first cycle was 80.16 (satisfactory). The second cycle increased to 92.28 (very satisfactory). In the process skills of students in the first cycle was 83.20 (good). The second cycle increased to 91.28 (excellent). In the students' Biology study result in the first cycle was 80.45 (enough). The second cycle increased to 84.30 (enough). The research it could be concluded that the application of RANGKA contextual teaching and learning based character education can improve problem solving skills, science process skills and Biology study result of class XII IA.2 in SMAN 1 BINTAN.Item Integrasi Pendidikan Karakter Melalui Model Problem Based Learning (PBL) Dalam Meningkatkan Keterampilan Abad Ke-21 (21st Century Skill) Pada Pembelajaran Biologi Kelas XI IPA 2 SMA Negeri 2 Pekanbaru Tahun Ajaran 2012/2013(2013-08-16) Azimah, FauzanAction research has been carried out aimed at improving the skills of student’s 21 st century skills with character education through the integration model of Problem Based Learning (PBL) in class XI Science 2 SMA Negeri 2 Pekanbaru Academic Year 2012/2013. The research was conducted in February-June 2013, with a research subject 2 class of XI Science SMA Negeri 2 Pekanbaru. Total amount of students is 43 which is consisting of 17 students and 26 female students. The parameter in this study is the 21 st century skills that consists of 5 elements which are digital age literacy, inventive thinking, effective communication, high productivity, and religious. The results showed an average of 21 st century skills through observation in the first cycle of 69.56% (category less) increased to 76.87% (category enough) in the second cycle. Element average 21 st century skills, high productivity in the first cycle was 54.42% (category very less) and increased to 82.79% (category enough) in the second cycle. Average 21 st century skills through tests 21 st century skills has increased 55.81% from the first cycle (the category of very less) to 71.47% (less category) in the second cycle. Based on the results of this study concluded that the integration of character education through the model of Problem Based Learning (PBL) can improve student’s skills of the 21 st century in biology learning in class XI Science 2 SMA Negeri 2 Pekanbaru Academic Year 2012/2013.Item Integrasi Pendidikan Karakter Melalui Pembelajaran Kontekstual Dalam Meningkatkan Keterampilan Abad Ke-21 Pada Pembelajaran Biologi Di Kelas X.2 SMA Negeri 14 Pekanbaru Tahun Ajaran 2012/2013(2013-08-19) Alvi, PrimayarniThere was applied the Class Action Research (CAR) in order to increase student’s 21 st century skill on students of grade X.2 at SMA Negeri 14 Pekanbaru of Educational Year 2012/2013 by applying integrated character education building through contextual teaching and learning. Subject of the research, which was conducted on April to May 2013, were students of grade X.2 SMA Negeri 14 Pekanbaru, which consist of 40 students (13 boys and 23 girls). 21 st century skill parameter contains 5 elements, those are; digital era literacy, inventif thought, effective communication, high productivity, and religious. Data colection in this research are; observation form, grade product form, 21 st century skill test form. Result of the research discover that on average students 21 st century skill at first cycle at 63.49 % (very low), increased on second cycle to 72.69 % (low), on productivity grade at first cycle showed 73 % (enough) and contribute an increase on the second cycle at 80.5 % (enough), on 21 st century skill test at first cycle was 73.67 % (low) and become 78 % (enough) on the second cycle. Subject of the research, which was conducted on February to June 2013, were students of grade XI IPA 1 SMA Negeri 12 Pekanbaru, which consist of 38 students (11 boys and 27 girls). 21 st century skill parameter contains 5 elements, those are; digital era literacy, inventif thought, effective communication, high productivity, and religious. Data colection in this research are; observation form, grade product form, 21 st century skill test form. Result of the research discover that on average students 21 st century skill at first cycle at 62,36 % (very low), increased on second cycle to 76,84 % (enough), on productivity grade at first cycle showed 75,79 % (enough) and contribute an increase on the second cycle at 83,68 % (enough), on 21 st century skill test at first cycle was 71,4 % (low) and become 76,67 % (enough) on the second cycle. It can be concluded based on the research, that integrated character educatoin building through contextual teaching and learning approach able to upgrade the students 21 st century skill on Biology study at students of grade XI IPA 1 SMA Negeri 12 Pekanbaru Educational Year 2012/2013.Item Karakteristik Komposisi Dan Stratifikasi Vegetasi Strata Pohon Komunitas Riparian Di Kawasan Hutan Wisata Rimbo Tujuh Danau Kabupaten Kampar Provinsi Riau(2013-08-19) Novita S, IrmaResearch has been conducted to determine the composition and stratification characteristics Strata Trees Community Riparian Vegetation in the area of Lake Forest Tourism Rimbo Seven Kampar district in Riau Province in June 2012. The method used is the belt transect method with the size of 10 × 60 m plots were distributed on a regular basis. Riparian vegetation was found on all three stations for 14 species consisting of 10 tribes. The dominant vegetation composition at three stations located on tribal Euporbiaceae and Anacardiaceae. The results showed that for the three sites it was Stratification (standing vertically) in 3 study sites are in stratum B, with the highest vegetation Gluta renghas which has a height of 30 m. The method used in this study is a survey method, where data collection is done by interview and direct observation. The study used survey methods, field data collection using a plot that is placed on a transect. Determination of observation stations done purposively sampling at three observation stations in the area intertidial. The data were analyzed descriptively. The results showed that four types Bivalvia found that Anadara sp, Pharus sp, sp Geloina and Perna viridis. The highest density found in the type Pharus sp with a mean density of 2.75 indv/m3. The lowest densities found on the type of Anadara sp with a rate of 2.07 indv/m3. Bivalvia distribution patterns on patterns of uneven distribution.
