Item PENGEMBANGAN PEMBELAJARAN KONTEKSTUAL RANGKA BERBASIS PENDIDIKAN KARAKTER UNTUK MENINGKATKAN SIKAP ILMIAH DAN KETERAMPILAN BERPIKIR KRITIS SISWA SMA DALAM PEMBELAJARAN BIOLOGI*(2012-12-06) Aulia AfzaPENGEMBANGAN PEMBELAJARAN KONTEKSTUAL RANGKA BERBASIS PENDIDIKAN KARAKTER UNTUK MENINGKATKAN SIKAP ILMIAH DAN KETERAMPILAN BERPIKIR KRITIS SISWA SMA DALAM PEMBELAJARAN BIOLOGI* Evi Suryawati, Wan Syafii, dan Aulia Afza evien_riau@yahoo.co.id/+62811769392 Program Studi Pendidikan Biologi Jurusan PMIPA Fakultas Keguruan dan Ilmu Pendidikan Universitas Riau ABSTRAK Penelitian pengembangan yang bertujuan untuk mengembangkan pembelajaran kontekstual RANGKA (Rumuskan, Amati, Nyatakan, Gabungkan, Amalkan) berbasis pendidikan karakter pada mata pelajaran Biologi kelas XI SMA. Pengembangan bahan ajar menggunakan tahapan dalam ADDIE model (Analyze,Design,Develop,Implement, Evaluate). Parameter untuk sikap ilmiah yang terdiri atas 5 indikator yaitu rasa ingin tahu, jujur, disiplin, tanggung jawab dan komunikatif. Keterampilan berpikir kritis terdiri atas 5 indikator yaitu menganalisis, merumuskan masalah, mengumpulkan data, memecahkan masalah dan menilai. Bahan ajar yang dikembangkan telah divalidasi dan diujicobakan pada siswa kelas XI SMA Negeri 5 Pekanbaru semester genap Tahun Ajaran 2011-2012. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan rata-rata sikap ilmiah siswa mengalami peningkatan yaitu 70.05 (awal), dan 83.73 (akhir). Rata-rata keterampilan berpikir kritis 63.85 (awal), dan 74,10 (akhir). Penelitian pada tahun 1 ini telah dihasilkan prototype bahan ajar, instrumen penilaian sikap ilmiah dan keterampilan berfikir kritis, untuk selanjutnya akan direvisi dan dikembangkan. Pengembangan pembelajaran kontekstual RANGKA berpotensi untuk meningkatkan sikap ilmiah dan keterampilan berfikir kritis siswa dalam pembelajaran Biologi di SMA.Item Efektifitas Ekstrak Buah Belimbing Wuluh (averrhoa bilimbi l.) Terhadap mortalitas larva nyamuk Aedes aegypti(2012-12-06) Hapsari, A.OEFEKTIFITAS EKSTRAK BUAH BELIMBING WULUH (Averrhoa bilimbi L.) TERHADAP MORTALITAS LARVA NYAMUK Aedes aegypti Aylien Oktavia, Suwondo, Elya Febrita Program Studi Pendidikan Biologi Fakultas Keguruan dan Ilmu Pendidikan Universitas Riau Abstrak This research aims to determine the effectiveness of Belimbing wuluh (Averrhoa bilimbi L.) against Aedes aegypti mosquito larvae mortality. The method used in this research was an experimental method using a Completely Randomized Design (CRD) which consist of 5 treatments and 4 replications. Parameters measured were mortality of Aedes aegypti larvae during 96 hours exposed, LC50 values and toxic response of Aedes aegypti larvae. Other parameters are temperature and pH medium during 96 hours exposed. Result showed that belimbing wuluh has mortality power against Aedes aegypti larvae. At concentration of 3% larvae’s mortality achieve 100% at 48 hours exposed, whereas at concentration of 2%, 1.3% and 0.8% larvae’s mortality were 87.5%, 67.5% and 35% at 96 hours exposed. LC50 values exposed at 24 hours, 48 hours, 72 hours, and 96 hours were 2.14%, 1.35%, 1.34%, and 0.6%. Aedes aegypti larvae’s toxic response showed agile movement, slowing in time, siphon’s position parallel to the surface of the medium, and color of larvae’s body becomes gray. There were 13 samples has been taken by using purposive sampling technique in this descriptive research. The secondary data were taken from Biology class at semester 1, grade XI. The data were collected by using Teachers Capability Assessment Instrument (IPKG) that consist by 6 indicator; (1) Formulating learning objectives, (2) Developing and organizing the material, media, and learning resources, (3) Planning the learning scenario, (4) Designing the class management, (5) Planning the procedures and preparing the assessment’s tool , (6) Document images. The IPKG’s assessment is using gradual scale, and interpreted with the range of competences value. The result shows that the the competencies of Biology teachers Public Senior High Schools in making of lesson plans was quit good (the average 3.24). This result reveal that the Biology teachers Public Senior High Schools were able to prepare the Lesson Plan. The research was conducted in April to June 2012 with research subjects are students of class X 3 Senior High School No. 5 Pekanbaru amounting to 33 people, consist of 16 male students and 17 female students. The parameters in this study is the scientific attitude of students consisting of six indicators of cooperation, honesty, discipline, responsibility, communicative and curiosity and creative thinking skills of students consisting of four indicators: fluency, flexibility, originality, and elaboration. The results showed that the average scientific attitude of students in the first cycle is 69.52% (less category) increased to 83.15% (category enough). Average creative thinking skills of students has increased from the first cycle is 63.75% (less category) to 75.38% (less category). This is a descriptive research and has been taken is Junior High School’s Science Teachers grade VIII by using purposive random sampling technique with considering the number of teacher who teach grade VIII, so we got 19 Biology Science teachers which are teaching at 19 schools. The data that had been collected is Lesson Plan from Junior High schools Biology teachers entire Pekanbaru’s grade VIII as secondary data. The Teachers Capability Assessment Instrument (IPKG) consist by 6 indicators, they are: (1) Formulating learning objectives, (2) Developing and organizing the material, teaching media, and learning resources, (3) Planning the learning activities scenario, (4) The class management’s design, (5) Procedures plan, the kind and preparing the assessment instrument, and (6) Lesson Plan documents images. The IPKG’s assessment is using gradual scale and interpreted with the range of competences value. From the processing of data, the result is we know that Public Junior High schools Biology teachers in Pekanbaru was quit good (the average 3,32). It means that the teachers had a good competencies in making Lesson Plan. The competencies is expected to make the learning process more meaningful and a better future.Item Penerapan Model Pembelajaran Kooperatif Tipe Probing Prompting Untuk Meningkatkan Keterampilan Berfikir Kritis Dan Hasil Belajar Biologi Siswa Kelas Viiic SMP Negeri 1 Bangkinang Barat Tahun Ajaran 2011/2012(2013-01-08) Rina, R.ABSTRACT The purpose of classroom action research is to improve critical thinking skills and and learning outcomes of students with the application of cooperative learning model probing prompting type in Bangkinang Barat SMP Negeri VIIIC class at Academic Year 2011/2012. This research was conducted in the second semester in May 2012. Subjects were grade students of SMP Negeri 1 Bangkinang Barat VIIIC by the number of 27 students consisting of 15 male students and 12 female students. The parameters measured were the critical thinking skills of students consisting of 3 indicators and student learning outcomes consisting of absorption and mastery learning individual students, student activities and teacher activities. The average critical thinking skills of students in the first cycle is 66.98% (average) increase in the second cycle with an average critical thinking skills of students is 74.40% (good). Students capability in the first cycle is 72,90% (average) increase in the second cycle to be 79.70% (good). Student mastery test scores daily visits from students in the first cycle is 92.00% (complete) increased in the second cycle to 100% (complete). Implementation of the action began on 27 March and 30 April 2012. Subjects in the study were students of class VII5 totaling 37 students. The parameters used are the skills the student achievement comprising absorption and mastery learning students. The results showed that the average skills of the students based on the observation sheet, the cycle of 72.70% (average), increased in the second cycle to be 81.44% (excellent) by the percentage increase of 12.02%. Average absorption of students through daily tests on the cycle of 76.68% (excellent), on the second cycle increased to 83.32% (excellent) by the percentage increase in 8. 65%. Mastery of individual students in the first cycle is 94.59% (complete) and 5.40% (not finished), on the second cycle increases to 100% (complete). The research was conducted on 27 March 2012 to 30 April 2012. The subject in this study were 37 students class VII5 of SMP Kartika 1-5 Pekanbaru. The parameters in this study are motivation and scientific attitude. The indicators of motivation are challenge, curiosity, participation and controls. The indicators of scientific attitude are responsibility, curiosity, cooperation, honesty and discipline. Average score of the students motivation before the application of the learning cycle is 2,66 (low category) increased in the first cycle to 3,39 (enough category) with an increasing percentage of 27,50%, and increased again in the second cycle to be 3,68 (enough category) with an increase percentage of 8,63%. Average scores of student’s scientific attitude from questionnaire before application learning cycle is 67,78% (enough category), increased in the first cycle to 73,08% (good category) with an increasing percentage of 7,81%, and increased again in second cycle to be 80,04% (good category) with an increasing percentage of 8,69%. Average score of the student’s scientific attitude from observation in the first cycle is 63,03% (enough category) increased in second cycle to be 74,76% (good category). Parameter in observational it is yielding learned (absorbing power and student studying thoroughness), agglomerate appreciation, with supporting parameter (student activity and teacher activity). Observational result on cycle I to point out that student absorbing power average is 74,85% ( adequately) experiencing stepup on cycle II as 82,08% (well), learned thoroughness on I cycle which is 91,66% (tremendously good) on cycle II as 100% (tremendously good), agglomerate appreciation on I cycle that gets predikat super consisting of 2 groups whereas on cycle II available 4 group gets predikat super, averagely student activity on I cycle is 71,16% (adequately) worked up on cycle II as 85,75% (well), on I cycle average activity learns 81,81% (well) experiencing step-up on cylce II as 100% (tremendously good). This research was conducted in October-November 2012. The subject of this research was student of class VIII7 of SMP 14 Pekanbaru. The number of students was 32 students (15 boys and 17 girls). The Parameter was students scientific behaviour that consits of 7 indicators and students studying achievement consisted of comprehension ability, students passing individually and teachers activities. The average of students behaviour in cycle 1 was 78.57% (moderate) increased in cycle 2 in the average of 89.39% (good). Students comprehension ability in cycle 1 was 77.84% (moderate) increased became 83.21% (moderate). The students passing studying in cycle 1 was 59.38% (pass) increased in cycle 2 became 81.25% (pass). Average of teachers activities in cycle 1 was 90.62% (good) increased in cycle 2 became100% (very good). The sample in this research is lecturer’s in MKK zoology taken by total sampling. The data technique collecting is closed questionnaires and open questionnaires to determine lecturer perceptions of the character education,and tests to determine the understanding of the character education. The results showed that the perception of lecturer for each sub-indicators are defenition of character, the goal of character education, the function of character education, the scope of character education, the implementation of character education, character education in is very good. This research is descriptive. The research sample was 46 students from biology class of 2009 by using purposive sampling. Parameter data of the study is the ability of students in the subject of Biology and P3B Review of the curriculum consisting of value assignments, quizzes value, the value of UTS, the value of UAS. To find out the data analysis was calculated using the following formula Product Moment Correlation and to collect primary data obtained through open questionnaire. Research shows that the correlation between students 'ability to study curriculum P3B very high with a value 0.93 at 5% level, while the students' perceptions of the role of the curriculum is good indicator (3.18), the indicator of learning (Review of the Curriculum) is sufficient (2.68), indicators and judgment in designing the study of learning in the course curriculum of biology and P3B enough (2.46), indicators of learning devices (P3B) was good (2.81), and the indicators are good teaching material (2.74). Field data collection using 1x1 m plots were laid out on the line (belt transect). Determination of observation stations done purposively sampling at three observation points in the intertidal area. Biological parameters measured include: density and distribution index gastropods. Physico-chemical parameters include: temperature, pH, salinity, dissolved oxygen, substrate organic content and sediment texture. The study used survey methods, field data collection using a plot that is placed on a transect. Determination of observation stations done purposively sampling at three observation stations in the area intertidial. The data were analyzed descriptively. The results showed that four types Bivalvia found that Anadara sp, Pharus sp, sp Geloina and Perna viridis. The highest density found in the type Pharus sp with a mean density of 2.75 indv/m3. The lowest densities found on the type of Anadara sp with a rate of 2.07 indv/m3. The data technique collecting is perception questionnaires to determine lecturer perceptions of the integration of character education and tests to determine lecturer understanding. The research was conducted in May-August 2012. The parameters of this research are the perception and understanding lecturers. The data technique collecting is closed questionnaires and open questionnaires to determine lecturer perceptions of the character education and tests to determine lecturer understanding. Enclosed questionnaire consisted of two indicators: (1) character education with 4 sub-indicators and (2) implementation of character education with 2 sub-indicators. Comprehension test has two indicators: (1) character education with 5 sub-indicators, and (2) development of character education with 3 sub-indicators. Data analysis techniques such as descriptive analysis technique, the processing of questionnaires and tests are categorized by category of less understanding, pretty, good, very good. Perception Lecturer for each sub-indicator has a very good category. Lecturer MKB has a good understanding of the integration of the value of the character at MKB. Based on the study it can be concluded that the perception of the integration Lecturer MKB character values in the Program in Education Studies Biology is very good. The samples were 25 biology teachers included into the Musyawarah Guru Mata Pelajaran (MGMP) members in Pekanbaru. The parameters used are the perception and understanding. Teacher perception’s instrument used close questionnaire, open questionnaire and understanding test. The results showed that perceptions of senior high school biology teachers of Pekanbaru toward integration of character values and culture nation by using the close questionnaire with the average of 3.46 is (good category), the result of the research using an open questionnaire with a mean good categories, and comprehension test with a mean 0.63 (good categories). The sample of this research was the university students at the second semester of 2011-2012 with total population 45 students that consisted of 38 famales and 7 males. The research instrument used questionnaire covered, the research parameter which involve 5 syb items namely: 1) Concern for the environment, 2) environment knowladye, 3) material application integrates environmental science, 4) implementation of environment knowladye, and 5) work in environment management. The result of the research showed that min score classically students already had an attitude toward environmental awareness gorized good min score 4.26. the need for knowladye of the environment for the student to get Min score 3.64 (good). The application of science materials in the development of integrated environment curriculum obtained Min score 4.50 (good). The implementation of environment knowladye gain Scores 4.68 (good). The work in environmental management categorized good by obtained Min scor 4.53 (good). Hendrayani Nim. 0505120304 ABSTRACT The research has been done that aims to improve the scientific attitude and biological sciences students learning outcomes class VII 5 of Junior High School 1 Reteh, INHIL regency by sing Matching Math method. This type of research is The Studies Class Action (PTK). The study was conducted in March to April 2011. The research subjects are students of class VII.5 by the number of students 32 people (21 women and 11 men) with the parameters of the scientific attitude and learning outcomes. The results showed that students' scientific attitude had increased, the average scientific attitude of students in cycle 1 is equal to 66.24 (category enough) and in the second cycle, it became 80.42 (Categories Good). Average scientific attitude of students using questionnaires has increased, scientific mistaken before the use of the method in the amount of 69.07% (Categories enough) while 82.68% after application (categories good). Test normalized (N-gain) indicate the scientific attitude scores of students after the use of matching math method with average 0.44 (Medium Category). Student learning outcomes based on the absorption cycle 1 is 71, 45% (Categories Good) rose 83.12% in the second cycle. Mastery learning students in the first cycle is 83.87 with an average value of 71, 45% increased in the second cycle to 100% with an average value of 83.12. From the results of this study, it can be concluded that the use of matching math methods can improve scientific attitude and science learning outcomes of students in VII.5 grade SMP N 1 Reteh District.
