Item DAMPAK FENOMENA ARAB SPRING TERHADAP PEMERINTAHAN LEBANON 2011-2013(2013-08-27) novandi, BagusThis research has analize about the Arab Spring phenomenon and how it influences the lebanese government. The north African and the middle eastern region that are experiencing a political struggle is known as the Arab Spring.A revolution aimed at overthrowing their rulers that started from Tunisia followed by Egypt, Algeria, Yemen, Bahrain, Libya, and Syria that are still politically struggling until today. The Arab Spring phenomenon that has been going on for the last few years have been up in Syria and have caused an impact on the politics in Lebanon. Historical background makes Syria and Lebanon inseperable. The Lebanese political map has split into two groups: The group that supports the Syrian President's regime; and the group that opposes the Syrian President's regime. Besides that, the Lebanese prime minister, Najib Mikati is urged to resign by the opposition for allegedly interfering in the ongoing conflict in Syria and bringing along Lebanon into the conflict. Najib Mikati finally resigned from his position after a meeting between the political leaders Lebanon. This study usea the system which in theory explains that in this world, countries interact within a system. The system's structure and the changes that occur has determined the behaviour of the countries mentioned. In addition, the author uses the concept of power in which the political actora can influence the thoughts and actions of other actors by using the power they own. The author also defines the scope of this study which is from 2011-2013.Item DINAMIKA BRAIN DRAIN IRAK KE AMERIKA SERIKAT PASCA RUNTUHNYA REZIM SADDAM HUSSEIN (2003-2012)(2013-04-10) Sinaga, Arina BetsaidaIraq political instability after Americans invaded in particular 2003, has created the threat of social, economic and human rights for citizens of Iraq. The increasing number of emigration from Iraq have given Iraq a status “humanitarian crisis”. Iraqi society has been brutalized and traumatized over the past half-century, and such conditions have taken a toll on Iraqi confidence in the future. This research specially aims to analyze the Iraqi professional migration to the United Nations as Brain Drain phenomenon. Iraq's top professionals; doctors, lawyers, professors and businessmen have been targeted by shadowy political groups for kidnapping and ransom, as well as murder. So many have fled the country that Iraq is in danger of losing the core of skilled people it needs most just as it is trying to build a newly independent society. Here, skilled migrants–mostbroadly defined as those in possession of atertiary degree or extensive specialized work experience–include architects, accountants and financial experts, engineers, technicians, researchers, scientists, chefs, teachers, health professionals, and–increasingly–specialists in information technology. In the USA security concerns have impacted on immigration policies to the extent that the number of H1-B visas issued to specialist and expert immigrants has more than halved since 9/11. Once again the USA seems to be best prepared for the needs and trends of the 21st century. Due to its long immigration tradition the US economy is open enough and labour markets are flexible to welcome the global citizens that are looking around for the most promising places to live, to work, to earn money and to spend it. The USA has, for a long time already, been well aware of the benefits to the US population that could be collected by capturing mobile skilled foreign professionals.Item DIPLOMASI BUDAYAAMERIKA SERIKAT TERHADAP INDONESIA MELALUI HOLLYWOOD MOVIES(2013-03-13) Putra, Achmad RezaThis study describes the Hollywood movies as a means of cultural diplomacy of United States towards Indonesia. Hollywood was established by Jewish immigrants from Europe in 1910 with the aim of creating an independent film industry. Hollywood films have been used as a means of cultural diplomacy by the United States to shape public perceptions in accordance with what is desired by the United States. Distribution of Hollywood movies have spread around the world, including Indonesia. Hollywood movies are considered to influence the culture of Indonesia.The data sources used in this research are books, journals, working papers, valid news from websites and newspaper.Hollywood movies in Indonesia influence impacted directly or indirectly to the development of culture in Indonesia. Hollywood films containing values of U.S. society in it. Cultural values contributed to Hollywood's changes occur in the values of the culture of Indonesia. The changes that occur include the attitudes, the values, lifestyles, language, to the ideology. This research explain about the emergence of human cases of avian flu in Indonesia. Indonesia as a member of the world community did not shut up about the existence of this disease. The implementation of obligations under GISN is considered unfair by the Government of Indonesia, so the Government stated that it necessary to halt the delivery of sample virus to WHO until some provisions related to virus sharing and vaccines benefits are amended. World public attention has focused on this issue when the Indonesian Health Ministry announced that it would no longer provide flu viruses to the WHO CC as it believed the centres and the system had betrayed its trust. She called the current system “unfair”. The claim declared by a group of armed men led by Datu Raju Muda Agbimuddin Kiram who name themself “The Army of the Sultanate of Sulu (Royal Sulu Army) who landed in the coastal village of Lahad Datu, Sabah, Malaysia. Their goal was to claim the entire region as their own, as well as sued the MalaysiaN Government to increase the rent of their land. Meanwhile, this claiming cannot be accepted by The Malaysian Government and they tried to come with a powerful army (Polis Diraja Malaysia) against Royal Sulu Army who is coming to Sabah. A number of people was die because of the conflict between Polis Diraja Malaysia with Royal Sulu Army. This situation has led the diplomatic relations between Malaysia and Philipine to the worst point in decades. This Research used Concilct Theory. The Concept is National Interest. ChairilThis research analyzes the effectiveness on implementation of the responsibility to protect the Libyan civil war by the UN Security Council. Since2011,February 15, Gaddafi forces have committed systematic and organized crimes against humanity to the protesters causing civilian casualties in large numbers. Crimes against humanity in Libya shows the inability and unwillingness of the government for implementing the responsibility to protect civilians. This condition shows that Libyan government is not capable of running and breaking the concept of Responsibility to Protect. The UN Security Council has the authority in its capacity to take over the responsibility to protect the civilian population of Libya. The high drug cases that occurred in Indonesia makes the existence of an organization that is tackling the drug problem in assuming important. NCB-Interpol Indonesia is an organization that aims to tackle transnational crime and international issues. The crime in question include the crime of terrorism, drugs, human trafficking, crimes at sea, money laundering, arms smuggling, crime and economic crime virtual world. However, in this study will be focused on drug crimes. By using non-statistical methods are qualitative methods, the authors will describe the role and effectiveness of the NCB-Interpol Indonesia in tackling drugs problems began in 2009 that focused until the year 2011, by using the theory of functions of international organizations and the effectiveness of international organizations. Fatah is the party or the largest political and military organization in Palestine. Fatah is part of the PLO representative at Unesco and Fatah also the party of the Mahmoud Abbas, President of Palestinian. The acceptance of a Palestinian or PLO official member of Unesco on 31 October 2011 give effect to the Fatah, and Mahmoud Abbas as Palestine President. Method that was done in this research in explanation or explanative method by use library research, focus research is the influence of Fatah joined the Unesco. The theory that was used in this research is Behavioralis theory (behavioral approach) which focuses on individuals and political action groups that highlight the extent to which the role of political knowledge has thus affected the political behavior. In this case the Fatah political skills are motivated to join UNESCO. The result of this research shows that the cause of Fatah joined in UNESCO is Fatah wants to increase the bargaining power in the international system and would like to become an independent state. Another factor is, in the Unesco victory would restore the trust and support of the Palestinians to Fatah. The other thing is privilege that will be Palestinians obtained after became an official member in UNESCO.Item Faktor-Faktor Yang Mempengaruhi Lemahnya Ekspor Teh Indonesia ke Negara Rusia (2008-2012)(2014-05-20) Pakpahan, Marta Sari UliThe position of Indonesia in international trade is one of the largest tea producers and exporters in the world . The role of tea as the raw material for the industry itself is a major contribution to foreign exchange, absorbing a large amount of labor , and the positive impact that makes tea as one of the leading commodity nationwide . Over the last 5 years , tea industry tends to decline including reduced acreage , production decline , and then also have a negative impact on the value of the volume of tea exports to Russia . The purpose of this research was to determine the factors that influence the weak of Indonesian tea exports competitiveness to Russia in 2008-2012. The author uses the theory of comparative advantage by David Richardo and the concept of competitiveness as a baseline research . The method used in this research is descriptive analytical method with a case study approach . The author obtained the data and materials based on books , journals , magazines / newspapers , theses , and websites that related to research. The final results of the research by the authors showed that the weakening of the Indonesian-Russian tea export caused by the Indonesian government policies that are less conducive to the development of a national commodity.Item FAKTOR-FAKTOR YANG MENYEBABKAN HOSNI MUBARAK TURUN DARI KURSI KEPRESIDENNYA (2011)(2012-11-25) Fernando, FemiThis research aims to find large power in Egypt that has brought an end to Hosni Mubarak's leadership has led the country for 30 years. Since Hosni Mubarak of Egypt has served as president in 1980, he has brought Egypt to the State which has an important role in the Middle East. Mubarak is also considered as a liaison figure between the Arab countries with the West in various conflicts in the Middle East. Mubarak has good relations with western countries, especially the United States. Mubarak success in international politics is not matched its success as a leader in the country. Various problems arise due to poor government's role in the welfare of its people. Problems of poverty, unemployment, human rights abuses and political problems that occur is getting worse and cause anger and resentment of the people more peaked. On January 25, 2011, thousands of Egyptians doing demonstrations demanding Mubarak step down. This action begins 18 days of demonstrations demanding the end of Mubarak regime. Action of millions of Egyptians can not be stopped because of the support from within and outside the country who continue to urge Mubarak resign. The great strength of millions of Egyptians into evidence that people of power are able to defeat the great power of the authoritarian leader. On February 11, 2011, Hosni Mubarak officially resigned as president of Egypt. To control the vacuum in the government, all authority Mubarak handed over to the Egyptian Military Council. Egypt's Supreme Council of the Armed Forces released a declaration stating that the number three will replace the Military Council government positions that are not supported by the people of Egypt.Item FENOMENA BRAIN DRAIN PASCA INVASI AS KE IRAK TAHUN 2003-2008(2013-03-13) Winarmo, SuhudBrain drain is a phenomenon of the migration of intellectuals such as teachers, doctors, engineers and other academic actors from country to country. Motive for migration brain drain actors as diverse as the lack of quality of life in the country, promising jobs in lar country, political pressure, avoiding repressive regime that curb freedoms and feel insecure due to domestic political upheaval da war that never ends. This study used a qualitative descriptive analytical research methodology by looking at cause-effect relationship of these symptoms are examined in a scientific background to the analysis technique, which aims to explain how the relationship of symptoms with symptoms or other phenomena. The study is a descriptive analysis with a focus on describing the process or the steps taken by Iraq to modernize its military. This study attempted to describe the process by analyzing the phenomenon based on existing data. Brain Drain happened until after the invasion of the U.S. invasion of Iraq has generated a lot of disadvantages and problems of Iraq and the United States and exacerbating political and economic stability around the conflict. Large-scale migration of civil society and intellectuals who experienced significant increases becoming a major problem for Iraq due to inhibition of the economy and the progress of the country. This study is related with labor’s problems. The resul showed thet the recruitmen: by BNP2TKI or PJTKI who made a join venture with private sector was not suitable with the procedur and even more have no responsibilities to the labors. CNPC (China National Petroleum Company) as the Chinese oil ompany manages most of the natural resources of oil in Sudan ecause of the availability of oil reserves in Sudan is the most valuable asset for Chinese.Item ISLAM DAN KEBIJAKAN LUAR NEGERI INDONESIA: PERAN INDONESIA DALAM KONFLIK DI RAKHINE, MYANMAR(2013-01-28) Satria, NovandreABSTRACT This research was intended to explore the religion influence on the role of Indonesia’s engagement in ethnic conflict in Rakhine State, Myanmar, between Arakanese Buddhist and Rohingya Muslims in mid 2012. Since the discussion would be focused on the influencing factors and the role of Indonesia itself, thus, this research is categorized as a foreign policy analysis. The religion implication on the role of Indonesia was observed using and guided by Holistic Constructivism perspective which underlined that state’s behavior was constituted by identity which was formed by the values and norms occurred either on the structural (international norms) or in the sub-systemic area (domestic). The foreign policy analysis itself, was derived from Constructivist framework, where, the actor was not considered as a goal-oriented or self-oriented unit which its behavior was the result of rational calculations or sensible considerations to any benefits or loss to reach a maximum achievement of any goals, instead it was an object, a social actors to be precise, that are always embedded in a social context, which heavily impacts on their behavior. In a deeper look based on these theoretical frameworks, this research found that the Indonesia’s role in the conflict was a form of identitybased interest - a behavior constituted by the identity of Indonesia as a home to the world’s largest Muslim population. In domestic area, the role was taken as a respond of the insistence and enforcement of the people of Indonesia over the indication of discrimination to Muslims. This research will describe about USA’s reason in the new government was changed their foreign polices focus to Asia Pasific regional with the Asia Pivot Police, based on USA military agretion phenomenas.Item KEBIJAKAN BRAZIL MENOLAK MEKANISME TRADING CARBON DALAM CONFERENCE OF THE PARTIES TAHUN 2012(2013-08-27) MAYASARIThis research describes the policy of Brazil rejecting the carbon trade mechanisme in Conference of The Parties in 2012. This problem began in 1999 when states in the world focused to discuss the global warming and joint implementation to counter the emission. In 2009 at the 15 meeting Conference of the parties, that dealed the emission trade between the annex and non annex. The writer collects data from books, encyclopedia, journal, mass media and websites to analyze the policy of Brazil rejecting the carbon trade mechanisme in Conference of The Parties in 2012. The theories applied in this research are foregin policy decision theory from William D. Coplin and national interest concept from Donald. E. Nuchterlain. The research shows that the policy of Brazil rejecting the carbon trade mechanisme in Conference of the Parties is that carbon trade mechanisme giving disadvantage the non annex state. Because with the carbon trade Brazil have to keep the forest and prohibit to increase the Industrialization. The state that can explore the industrialization is just the annex state.
