Item DISTRIBUSI SPASIAL HIDROKARBON DAN KELIMPAHAN DIATOM DI PERAIRAN PANTAI SEKITAR KAWASAN INDUSTRI PERMINYAKAN(2013-05-30) Amin, Bintal; Nurrachmi, Irvina; Damanik, FinriA survey on the oil content and diatom abundance has been conducted in the coastal water around oil industry activities. Two locations (Sungai Pakning and Selat Lalang) with three s tations each were selected for the sampling. Oil content analysis and identification of diatom were carried out in Marine Chemistry Laboratory and Marine Biology Laboratory , Faculty of Fisheries and Marine Science, University of Riau. The results showed that all water quality parameters measured in the present study were still in the range of tolerable levels for the survival of marine organisms. The mean oil content varies from 0.35 to 0.37ppm and diatom abundance ranged from 1433.33 – 1566.67cel/L consisted of 10 species in Sungai Pakning whilst oil content in Selat Lalang ranged from 0.34 to 0.54 ppm and diatom abundance 1813.33 – 2200.00 cel/L with 7 spesies. Oil contents found at the stations closed to oil industry were generally higher than that at the stations far from any oil-related activities. In both locations, the oil contens were measured to be higher during high tide when compared to low tide. The increase of oil content in the waters was followed by the decrease in diatom abundance. Simple linear regression analysis indicates negative correlation between oil content and diatom abundance (Y = 2620 – 3000X; r = 0.4878and Y = 3546 – 5885X; r = 0.9110 in Sungai Pakning and Y = 3098 – 1947X; r = 0.7113 and Y = 2775 – 2152X; r = 0.3347 in Selat Lalang respectively ) during high and low tides.Item IDENTIFIKASI PARASIT Clinostomum sp. (TREMATODA) PADA IKAN SEPAT (Trichogaster trichopterus) DENGAN SCANNING ELECTRON MICROSCOPE(2013-05-30) Riauwaty, Morina; WindartiA study on identification of Clinostomum infections in Trichogaster trichopterus in Pekanbaru has been conducted on August to October 2011. This study aims to understand the topography of Clinostomum in Trichogaster trichopterus. Excysted Clinostomum sp. was found in cavity organ were aseptically taken using needle, preserved in absolute ethanol. Morphological examination was done with Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM). Result shown that topography of the tegument of Clinostomum sp. metacercariae infections in Trichogaster trichopterus in Pekanbaru indicated different structure in individual surface. Oral sucker located at the subterminal end, ellips and was surrounded by fine surface pucker. The ventral sucker was close to oral sucker toward anterior area, and had round sensory papillae without spinae. The body surface was concave without spinae and was completed with round papillae. Round and pucker-surrounded excretory pore appeared at the posterior terminal. Results of Scanning Electron Microscopy indicates that Clinostomum sp. identified in this study was similar to Clinostomum cutaneum.Item Analisis Konsentrasi Fosfat , Nitrat Dan Klorofil-A Sebagai Indikator Tingkat Kesuburan Perairan Pantai Meskom Kabupaten Bengkalis, Riau(2013-05-30) Irvina, Nurrachmi; Yulhida, YuyunPengukuran konsentrasi fosfat, nitrat dan klorofil-a telah dilakukan di perairan pesisir Meskom, Kecamatan Bengkalis Riau dalam rangka untuk menentukan tingkat produktivitas perairan tersebut. Parameter kualitas air seperti suhu, transparansi, kecepatan arus, pH, oksigen terlarut, karbon dioksida dan salinitas diukur insitu sedangkan analisis fosfat, nitrat dan konsentrasi klorofil-dibuat di Laboratorium Ekologi. Fakultas Perikanan dan Ilmu Kelautan Universitas Riau. Hasil kajian menunjukkan bahwa nilai rata-rata parameter Kualitas air masih dalam kisaran tingkat aman dan diloleransi untuk hidup organisme perairan. Konsentrasi fosfat berkisar antara 0.0148-0,0150 mg / L. nitrat 0.0119-0.0209 mg , L dan klorofil-a 4,9534-6.2277 mg / L. Sebanyak 55 spesies fitoplankton milik Kelas Bacillariophyta, Cyanophyta, Chlorophyta. Xanthophyta, Charophyta dan Chrysophyta didentifikasi. Berdasarkan kelimpahan fitoplankton (<104 sel / L) dan konsentrasi fosfat (0,000 -0,020 mg/ L), perairan pesisir Meskom dikategorikan sebagai perairan oligotropic dengan tingkat produktivitas yang rendah. Namun, berdasarkan konsentrasi klorqfil-a (1 - 20 pg / L) perairan ini dikategorikan sebagai memiliki tingkat menengah produktivitas, sementara berdasarkan konsentrasi nitrat menunjukkan bahwa perairan ini berada dalam tingkat produktivitas yang tinggi (> 0,2 mg/ L). Konsentrasi fosfat dan nitrat menunjukkan huhungan yang positif dengan klorofil-konsentrasi (Y = 1,6770 + 359.9187Fosfat + 122.9518 Nitrat: r = 0,58) menunjukan bahwa pengaruh fosfat dan nitrat pada kosentrasi klorofil-a adalah 58%.Item SECONDARY INTERMEDIATE HOSPES OF CLINOSTOMUM (TREMATODA DIGENEA) IN RIAU PROVINCE, INDONESIA(2013-05-30) Riauwaty, Morina; WindartiThe aim of study was to understand the morphology of metacercariae of Clinostomum sp. found in freshwater fishes in Riau, Indonesia as second intermediate hospes. Freshwater fish were collected from Sail River, identified and examined for morphological observation. Encysted metacercariae of Clinostomum were excysted with a needle, fixed in 10% formalin and stained with Semichon’s Acetocarmine. Clinostomum parasites were observed under a stereomicroscope and numbers recorded. The result showed that infected freshwater fish were identified as Trichogaster trichopterus and prevalence of Clinostomum infection to the fish was17,1%. The infected fish had total length between 5,6-11cm, while the weight range was 2,01-28,64 g. The cysts were 1,5-2 mm in diameter, with a thin (c. 0,9 μm wide). There was no spinae in tegument dan had 2 suckers (oral and ventral), posteriorly located genitalia and paired digestive caeca. This digeneans were identified as the metacercariae of Clinostomum sp. This research is the first case of Clinostomum in freshwater fish in Riau, Indonesia.Item A NEW SPECIES OF CLINOSTOMUM (DIGENEA: CLINOSTOMIDAE) FROM CLIMBING PERCH (Trichogaster trichopterus) IN RIAU, INDONESIA(2013-05-30) Riauwaty, Morina; Kurniasih; Prastowo, Joko; WindartiThe aim of study is to identify the Clinostomum sp.obtained from visceral organs of Climbing perch (Trichogaster trichopterus) in Riau, Indonesia. In September 2010, Climbing perch (Trichogaster trichopterus) in Riau, Indonesia were collected, identified and examined for Clinostomum infection. Digenea, encysted metacercariae of Clinostomum were excysted with a needle, fixed in 10% formalin solution for morphological examination. Some samples were fixed with glutaraldehyde for SEM, and with ethanol absolute solution for molecular analysis. The result showed that the metacercariae of Clinostomum sp. from Riau had a body shaped like leaf. The surface of the body had not spinae. The anterior part was narrower than posterior. Posterior end was round. Body length had size of 347.2 (298.6 to 395.8) μm, body width of 127.2 (115.7 to 138.6) μm. Oral sucker small, terminal and had size of 16.2 (14,29 to 18,6) μm. Ventral sucker larger than oral sucker and had size of 63,6 μm. Clinostomum sp. has similarities to Clinostomum phalacrocorasis based on molecular study. This research was the first investigation of Clinostomum sp. in Climbing perch (Trichogaster trichopterus) as second intermediate host found in Riau, Indonesia.Item PREVALENSI CLINOSTOMUM (DIGENEA, CLINOSTOMIDAE) PADA IKAN SEPAT RAWA (Trichogaster trichopterus) DARI RIAU, INDONESIA(2013-05-30) Riauwaty, Morina; KurniasihThe aim of study was to know the prevalence of Clinostomum infections in Climbing perch (Trichogaster trichopterus) in Riau, Indonesia. Trichogaster trichopterus from Sail river, Riau were collected, and examined for Clinostomum infection. Encysted metacercariae of Clinostomum were excysted with a needle and fixed in 10% formalin. Speciemens were stained with Semichon’s Acetocarmine, dehydrated in alcohol series, cleared with xylene and mounted in entellan. The Clinostomum parasites were observed under a stereomicroscope and numbers recorded. Clinostomum identification was based on Chung et al 1995. The result showed that 18 of 105 observed climbing perch were infected by Clinostomum sp. The infected fish had total length between 5,6-11cm, while the weight range was 2,01-28,64 g. Based on the sexuality, the male fish was infected by the Clinostomum sp. (76,2%) more than the female (23,8%). Prevalence of Clinostomum sp. infection to the fish was 17,1%, and the infestation was between 1 to 29 worm per location. Samples were collected in the coastal waters of Natuna, Riau Islands In June 2009. Samples were taken from 2 location: Sepempang and Pengadah beach. The analysis methods use is identification of phytoplankton, frequency of presence phytoplankton and percentage volume of phytoplankton. Of ten species found 19 genus and detritus, include two families : Chrysophyta and Chyanophyta. The highest frequency of percentage volume of food is 13,5% by cymbrella from Sepempang beach and 13,6% by Cymbella from Pengadah beach.Item UJI AKTIVITAS ANTIOKSIDAN PADA 16 SPESIES TERIPANG YANG DITEMUKAN PADA PERAIRAN NATUNA KEPULAUAN RIAU(2013-05-31) Sukmiwati, MeryAntioxidant activity of Sea Cucumbers from the coastal waters of Natuna, Riau Island were investigated. Each species of sea cucumber was extracted with methanol and the extracted concentrated using rotary vacuum evaporator. DPPH method was used to examine the antioxidant activity of the extract. The extract of Stichopus vastus showed the highest among 16 species others antioxidant activity in DPPH method with percentage inhibition of 57.35 %. Phytochemical identification on methanol extract of sea cucumbers showed that terpenoid and fenolik were the major component. This finding suggested that terpenoid and fenolik are responsible for antioxidant activity.Item EVALUASI USAHA PERIKANAN TANGKAP DI PROVINSI RIAU(2014-01-23) Sari, T. Ersti YulikaTujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui usaha perikanan tangkap yang layak untuk dikembangkan di perairan Provinsi Riau. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah gabungan antara penelitian deskriptif dan survei langsung (pengamatan dan wawancara).Kinerja usaha perikanan tangkap atau financial performance analysis dilakukan dengan mencari NPV, IRR dan B/C pada wilayah penelitian. Financial performance analysis dalam perikanan tangkap terdiri dari biaya investasi (perahu, alat tangkap dan mesin), biaya tetap (penyusutan investasi, perbaikan perahu, perbaikan mesin dan perbaikan alat tangkap), biaya variabel (bensin, solar dan perbekalan lainnya). Hasil penelitian memperlihatkan bahwa usaha perikanan tangkap yang layak untuk dikembangkan adalah jaring batu (bottom drift gillnet), rawai (longline), jaring atom (drift gillnet), dan jaring apollo (trammel net). Namun dalam pelaksanaannya perlu dilakukan pengaturan terhadap alat tangkap yang beroperasi di wilayah perairan Provinsi Riau untuk menghindari terjadinya konflik dalam pemanfaatan sumber daya.Item SYSTEM IDENTIFICATION FOR SMALL SCALE FISHERIES DEVELOPMENT IN RIAU PROVINCE WATERS(2014-01-23) Sari, T. Ersti YulikaSystem identification for small scale fisheries development was designed using System Methodology. This system identification consisted of construction related Causal Loop Diagram and Input-Output Diagram. It was found that system approach was an effective tool in identifying an complicated system. It could provide a set of holistic information necessary for solving such intricate problem systematically. The study conclude that beside favorable incentives created by the Government, accurate information along with a synergetic network among the actors involved were the key elements to develop small scale fisheries. Accurate information were needed on business for small scale fisheries and industrial capacity on the effectiveness of suitable fisheries and also for the processing technology, on the quality and quantity of accessible raw materials could be on the proper product prices and finally on the appropriateness of labor wages. The system development should also explore a control subsystem to repress trade monopoly practices, diminution in product quality, excessive payment transaction and damage of the environment.Item DEVELOPMENT OF CAPTURE FISHERIES POTENCY IN THE WATERS OF KABUPATEN INDRAGIRI HILIR, RIAU PROVINCE(2014-01-23) Sari, T. Ersti YulikaA proper strategy for fisheries management is needed in enforcing sustainable fisheries resource management. There is no comprehensive study yet has been conducted on perspective continuation of ecological, economical, social and technological in Kabupaten Indragiri Hilir waters until recent year. The selected fisheries should consist offishing unit which can be operated technologically, financial and ecologically in sustainable manner. Survey method was used to collecting information and data from the field. Schaefer model was used to determine the limit of fishemy utilization by determining the Maximum Sustainable Yield (MSY). Linear Goal Programming (LGP.) Model was used to analyse the fishing unit allocation based on all determined target. Scoring method was applied to indicate the best kind of capture fisheries technology. The results of this study indicated that selected fish resource in the South china Sea Indragiri 1-Jilir Regency are giant threadfish ('Eletheronema teiradactylum) ", white shrimp (Penezis semisulcatus), yellow pike-conger (Congresox talabon) and barred spanish mackerel (Sconzberomorus commersoni) and with fishing technology of longline, "kurau net ", gillnet and shrimp net. Ersti YulikaProblem utama dalam pembangunan kelautan sejak Orde Baru hingga saat ini salah satu adalah bagaimana menciptakan suatu mekanisme kelembagaan yang menunjang pengelolaan sumberdaya kelautan. permasalahan mendasar dalam Pembangunan Perikanan dan Kelautan Provinsi Riau hingga saat ini antara lain kemiskinan dan pendapatan yang masih rendah, kebodohan dan kualitas sumberdaya manusia perikanan dan kelautan yang masih belum memadai, pencurian ikan yang masih belum terkendali dengan baik, infrastruktur perikanan yang lemah serta pemanfaatan pulau-pulau kecil dan sumberdaya kelautan lainnya yang masih terbatas. Terjadinya konflik antara nelayan tradisional dengan nelayan jaring batu ataupun nelayan trawl yang beroperasi di Perairan Provinsi Riau merupakan peristiwa yang sering terjadi di wilayah Pantai Timur Sumatera. Ikan ini cenderung menyukai perairan yang mengalir dan tidak berlumpur. Oleh sebab itu dalam pembudidayaannya perlu dilakukan sistem filterisasi dan resirkulasi. Salah satu bahan yang baik untuk menyerap warna, bau, padatan tersuspensi dan terlarut, serta murah dan mudah didapat adalah tempurung kelapa. Penelitian ini dilakukan selama 2 bulan di Laboratorium Teknologi Budidaya Perairan, Fakultas Perikanan dan Ilmu Kelautan Universitas Riau, untuk mengetahui ketebalan arang tempurung kelapa yang paling baik untuk meningkatkan kualitas air dalam pemeliharaan benih ikan baung. Metode penelitian yang digunakan metode eksperimen Rancangan Acak Lengkap 1 faktor dengan 4 taraf perlakuan dan 3 kali ulangan. Sebagai perlakuan P0 tanpa menggunakan filter, P1 ketebalan arang 5 cm, P2 ketebalan arang 10 cm dan P3 ketebalan arang 15 cm. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan perlakuan terbaik dijumpai pada P3 dengan suhu air berkisar antara 25,70 – 27,50 0C, kekeruhan menurun sebesar 73,64 %, pH meningkat dari 5 menjadi 7, DO meningkat 8,83%, kandungan CO2 bebas menurun 83,3 %, ammonia (NH3) 0,04 – 0,10 ppm, TSS menurun 57,09 %, TOM 4,80 – 7,51 ppm, pertumbuhan bobot mutlak 259,85 gram, pertumbuhan panjang mutlak 6,97 cm dan kelulushidupan 93,33 %.Item PEMANFAATAN PASIR BONO DI SUNGAI KAMPAR:DITINJAU DARI SEGI DAMPAK DAN PERSEPSI MASYARAKAT(2014-01-29) Bathara, Lamun; Yulinda, EniPenelitian ini dilaksanakan di Desa Teluk Meranti dan Desa Pulau Muda Kecamatan Teluk Meranti bertujuan untuk mengetahui dampak Pemanfaatan pasir bono terhadap lingkungan perairan sungai kampar, sosial budaya dan ekonomi masyarakat, dan persepsi masyarakat terhadap pemanfaatan pasir bono. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa eksploitasi pasir bono berdampak negatif terhadap lingkungan perairan (turbiditas, perubahan pola hidro-oseanografi, dan perubahan habitat) dan konflik sosial masyarakat. Pemanfaatan pasir bono juga berdampak positif terhadap ekonomi masyarakat (kesempatan kerja, peningkatan kegiatan ekonomi dan kesempatan berusaha masyarakat; peningkatan PDRB dan PAD; transportasi). Sebanyak 94,11% responden menyatakan setuju rencana Pemanfaatan pasir bono dan 5,89% tidak setuju rencana Pemanfaatan pasir bono. Responden yang setuju tersebut berharap agar penambangan pasir bono melibatkan masyarakat setempat dan dikelola oleh pemerintah daerah dan pengusaha lokal. Sebanyak 64,54 % responden berpendapat bahwa kegiatan penambangan pasir bono lebih banyak manfaatnya dari kerugiannya; 20,08% responden berpendapat kerugiannya lebih banyak dari manfaatnya; dan sekitar 15,38% masyarakat menyatakan tidak tahu. Manfaat penambangan pasir bono adalah melengkapi sarana dan prasarana, menyerap tenaga kerja, meningkatkan pendapatan masyarakat dan pendapatan daerah.Item MOTIVATION LEVEL FISHERMEN DUANO TO FISHING ENTERPRISE TANJUNG PASIR VILLAGE OF RIAU PROVINCE(2014-01-29) Affnia, Nur; Kusai; Bathara, LamunThe research was conducted on Desember 2010 in the Village of Tanah Merah Tanjung Pasir District Indragiri Hilir regency Riau Province. This researc haims to know the level motivation fishermen and the relationship characteristics (age, education, number of familiy, experience and income). Total respondent is 30 people. Respondent was taken by simple random sampling method. To know motivation level fishermen was using by likert scale and the relationship between characteristics with motivation level was using by analysis coefisian contigensi and data were processed by a SPSS 11,5 program. The result showed that motivation rate of the fishermen Duano is “Medium” (score 2792). There are according to coefisien contigensi there were relationship between all factor fisherman characteristic to motivation except income factor.Item PEMANFAATAN FERMENTASI AMPAS TAHU DALAM PAKAN IKAN UNTUK PERTUMBUHAN IKAN GURAMI OSPHRONEMUS GOURAMY LAC(2014-01-29) Pamungkas, Niken Ayu; Boer, Idasary; AdelinaKajian ini dijalankan bertujuan untuk menilai penggunaan fermentasi ampas tahu sebagai gantian kepada hidangan tahu. Konsentrasi fermentasi ampas tahu adalah 0, 25, 55, 75 dan 100% dari keseluruhan ampas tahu yang disediakan.Campuran fermentasi ampas tahu ini bersama dengan bahan-bahan lain digunakan untuk menghasilkan 35% retensi protein. Uji kaji ini dijalankan selama 60 hari untuk mendapatkan kadar pertumbuhan, keberkasanan makanan, retensi protein dan kadar ketahanan. Hasil dapatan kajian menunjukkan gantian fermentasi ampas tahu menghasilkan respon yang baik bagi gurame Osphronemus gouramy. 75% digantikan dengan fermentasi ampas tahu yang mendapat respon terbaik (1.58% kadar pertumbuhan, 16.42% keberkesanan makanan dan 14.05% retensi protein)Item TYPES AND DIVERSITY OF PHYTOPLANKTON IN DIFFERENT ZONES OF THE KOTO PANJANG RESERVOIR,KAMPAR, RIAU, INDONESIA(2014-01-30) Siagian, Madju; Siregar, SyamaruddinStudy on the types and diversity of phytoplankton in the Koto Panjang Reservoir (Hydro-Electric Power Plant Reservoir), Kampar, Riau, Indonesia, have been conducted from May to October 2009. For water quality analysis, samples of water were collected every month from 6 stations on the reservoir which consisted of 1 station on the riverine zone, 2 stations on the transition waters, and 3 stations on the lacustrine zone. The components of the samples have been taken vertically as well as horizontally. The diversity of the phytoplankton varies according to the zones, and there were 4 classes of phytoplankton which were consist of 6 types of Bacillariophyta, 5 types of Chlorophyta, 3 types of Cryssophyta, and 3 types of Cyaniphyta. Therefore, there were 17 types of phytoplankton have been recorded. The abundance of phytoplankton at the lacustrine zone were higher, compared to transition zone and riverine zone Such condition was estimated die to the higher of N and P ratio on the lacustrine zone compared to the transition and riverine zone. The analysis of index diversity, domination and similarity indicated that the condition of the reservoir still in suitable (balance) condition for phytoplankton without dominant species.Item Wind Tunnel Investigation into the Drag Characteristics of A Pair of Demihull Catamaran in Proximity(2014-02-04) Jamaluddin; Hutauruk, Ronald Mangasi; Utama, IkapAn experimental investigation into drag characteristics of a pair of demihull catamaran was carried out using low-speed wind tunnel at Department of Mechanical Engineering, Sepuluh Nopember Institute of Technology (ITS), Surabaya. Full viscous drag investigations were performed without and with turbulence transition strip at the range of Reynolds numbers 2.9x105 – 4.5x105. The model hull forms comprise a twin model of hull similar to NPL 4a along which are separated laterally. The results obviously demonstrate the effect of hull separation. The experimental work shows that the pressure coefficient increases while the flow velocity decreases when the hull clearance was closer. Furthermore, viscous drag of model with turbulence strip was higher 1.8% than that of non turbulence strip. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode survey, dengarr mengumpulkan data tentang kondisi geografi, tipe komoditi, jumlah muatan, tinjauan aspek ekonomi dll di provinsi tersebut. Kernudian dilakukan analisa untuk mengecek kapal hasil rancangan sesuai oengan peraturan internasional, Kapal hes;! r?ncangan memenuhi peraturan keselamatan ditinjau dari stabilitas, freeboard dan lain-lain. Ukuran .rtama hasil desain adalah LPP = 47,50 m; LWL = 49,4 m; B = 10,5 m;f =2,32 m; C[ = 0,67; Vs = 10 krrot; Daya Mesin 2x325 HP dan Dead weight 400 DW.Item EFFECT OF TURBULENCE MODELS IN ANALYZING VISCOUS RESISTANCE OF CATAMARAN BY USING COMPUTATIONAL FLUID DYNAMICS(2014-02-04) Hutauruk, Ronald MangasiIn addition an experiments carried out both the wind tunnel test and the towing tank, the study of viscous resistance on the catamaran vessel can also be analyzed using numerical simulation by Computational Fluid Dynamic (CFD). The aims of the study is to analyzing the most accurate turbulence models compared with the results obtained through experimentation. Catamaran model size adapted to test models in wind tunnel experiments. The ratio of separation to length between demihulls (S/ L) selected is 0.3. Boundary conditions of the fluid in the numerical simulations including the physical condition based on experiments data. Speed varied from 10, 12, 14, and 15.4 m / s. Turbulence models tested were k- , Shear Stress Transport, and the RNG k- . Results of analysis the viscous drag coefficient on each of the turbulence models will be compared with the experimental value. Turbulence models using a Shear Stress Transport (SST) is the best model of turbulence with percentage difference about 2.122% higher than in the wind tunnel experiments.
