Aktivitas Protokoler dalam Meningkatkan Citra

Protocol activity is as the order of a ceremony, which is completed by the order of events that generally applied in a ceremony. The basic of the implementation of this protocol activity is the Law. No. 9 of 2010 concerning keprotokol and PP No. RI. 62 of 1990 regarding the provision of protocol on the procedure places, rituals and procedures of respect. Protocol is one of public relationship activities that is rarely discussed in books, the failure of a protocol activity in a departement will cause negative impact on the institution image. Department of Mines and Energy Riau Province carry out protocol activity that is organized by general division and employee affairs.
OPINI KARYAWAN TERHADAP IKLIM KOMUNIKASI ORGANISASI DI PT. JAMSOSTEK (PERSERO) KANTOR CABANG RIAU II

This research is about organizational communication climate, wich is a metaphor for the weather that forms the physical climate of a region. Opinion within an organization can serve as a mirror to evaluate how organizational communication climate that is owned by the organization. This paper is based on limited research of opinions of employees on organizational communication climate in PT Jamsostek (Persero) Branches Riau II. The results of this research showed that organizational communications climate-forming factor in PT. Jamsostek (Persero) Branch County II are (1) lack of confidence held by some employees to other employees, (2) unilateral decision-making, (3) honesty that is not owned by any employee, (4) the employer is not willing to listen and receive suggestions from subordinates and (5) a sense of empathy that is not owned by the top leaders in the company. The results also showed that the opinions of employees who grown on organizational communication climate is the subjective positive, negative and neutral.
PENGARUH PROGRAM IN THE MORNING TERHADAP MINAT PENDENGAR RADIO CENDANA 102,6FM PEKANBARU

This research program about the mass media especially the radio that affects the audience be interested to hear the program. Are selected for each program in this study is In The Morning program contained in Sandalwood 102.6 FM radio. This program was selected because a news program, delivering up to date information that is packaged attractively. The results showed that there is significant influence between Program In The Morning listener's appetite sandalwood 102.6 FM Pekanbaru is evidenced by the data processing simple linear regression using SPSS 17.0 for windows. Based on a simple linear regression analysis the regression coefficients obtained in this study is Y = -1.515 + 0.367 X, with a 0.01 significance level is less than α = 0.05 then it means that H1 is accepted and Ho is rejected.

Since starting operations in 2005, Mitra Rakyat Riau Rural Banks have disbursed loans to micro, small, and medium enterprises is an important sector in the economy of Indonesia. Loan amount is always greater than the number is targeted by the company over the last three years (2009-2011). The purpose of this research is to investigate persuasive communication of account officer in disbursing loans (lending) to prospective debitor and to investigate the influence factors. This research using qualitative methods, with purposive sampling techniques that capture informants adapted to the purpose of research, and presented with a descriptive analysis based on primary data and secondary data through data collection techniques nonparticipant observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation. Informants were 10 people. Data analysis techniques using interactive data analysis model Milles and Huberman, where the data obtained and processed to be reduced, is presented, thus resulting a general conclusion. Then the data examination techniques using participatory extension and triangulation of data that is comparing observations with data from interviews. The results of the research indicate that account officer using in itself persuasion techniques to enhance the credibility and personal interests of the debitor starting from the preparation, the visit to the premises of debitor, to the proposed application for credit to superior and negotiating the results of decision making with prospective debitor about the credit limit, repayment period, and binding assurance. The factors that affect persuasive communication of account officer in lending to potential debitor is the human factor, intensive factors of the company, and the factor of prejudice or bias.
PENGARUH TAYANGAN DRAMA KOREA DI TELEVISI TERHADAP PERILAKU REMAJA KELURAHAN SIMPANG BARU KECAMATAN TAMPAN KOTA PEKANBARU

One television show that is being favored by the people now is the Korean drama show which aired several television stations Indonesia. The presence of Korean drama shows in the midst of the community was able to take the attention of teenagers. It also happen in teenagers Kelurahan Simpang Baru Kecamatan Tampan Pekanbaru City. The results of this study show the influence of Korean drama program on television of teenagers behavior at Kelurahan Simpang Baru Kecamatan Tampan Pekanbaru City. It is based on the analysis of the data using a simple linear regression is Y = 26 071 + 0351 X. Numbers constants (a) of 26.071 and variable coefficients Korean drama shows on television at 0.351 to 2.977 t count greater when compared with the t table 1.985 and 0.004 significance level less than α = 0.05, therefore H0 is rejected and H1 accepted. Impressions of Korean drama on television by 8.5% influence on teenagers behavior Kelurahan Simpang Baru, the remaining 91.5% is caused by another factor of this study. Therefore there is a significant effect between Korean Drama on Television footage of Teenagers Behavior at Kelurahan Simpang Baru Kecamatan Tampan Pekanbaru City. Key

ABSTRACT State Electricity Company (PLN) is a State Owned Enterprises in the field of electricity in Indonesia. PLN launching a prepaid electricity service programs to overcome arrears payment of electricity bills as well as customer complaints record meter errors, erratic bill payment etc. Target installation of prepaid electricity in Pekanbaru city of 25,000 connections is the biggest target of Riau and Riau Archipelago reached 50,000 connections. Purpose of this study to determine strategy and PLN Public Relations Area Pekanbaru obstacles in socialize prepaid electricity in customers of Pekanbaru. This study used qualitative methods. Sources of data are primary and secondary. The collection data technique used observation, interviews and document. Analysis data technique using Milles and Huberman models. The results of this study indicate that PR strategy in socialize prepaid electricity are persuasive and educative approach using face to face as media and press conference. Furthermore, PR doing cooperation approach with developers, putting up banners and posters in PLN office, distribution of brochures and offering directly to customers. PR strategy received a positive response from customers who become the target of this socialization. However, this strategy has not run for a maximum because information about prepaid electricity have been not spread throughout to customers region in Pekanbaru. PLN obstacles are not balance between employee in socialize prepaid electricity with scope of PLN Area Pekanbaru and lack of publication abaut cost migration to prepaid electricity.
PENGARUH PROGRAM REPORTASE INVESTIGASI TRANS TV TERHADAP KECEMASAN ORANGTUA

Television is one of the electronic mass media which very influential in society's lives. Trans Tv is one of National Television in Indonesia that offer investigation information in one of their news program. The Investigation Program is called Reportase Investigasi which reveals many frauds in our society today. Reportase Investigasi create many anxiety in society particularly many parents at Kelurahan Simpang Tiga Pekanbaru who have anxiety level that could effect the pattern of kids food or children who frequently consumed snacks that did not previously know anything to know as a result of Investigative Reporting program. The goal of the investigation is to analyst the effect program Reportase Investigasi of Trans Tv on parental anxiety at Kelurahan Simpang Tiga Pekanbaru. The results of this study show the influence of Reportase Investigasi Trans Tv for Parents at Kelurahan Simpang Tiga Pekanbaru. It is based on the analysis of the data using a simple linear regression is Y = 22 531 + 0347 X. Numbers constants (a) of 22,531 and a variable coefficient of program Reportase Investigasi Trans Tv for 0.347 to 3.050 t count greater when compared with the t table 1.985 and 0.003 significance level less than = 0.05. Hence H0 is rejected and H1 was accepted. The Program Reportase Investigasi of Trans Tv influenced by 8.8% against the Parents Anxiety at Kelurahan Simpang Tiga Pekanbaru, The remaining 91.2% is caused by another factor of this study have a small reiation. Therefore there is a significant effect between Reportase Investigasi of Trans Tv for Parents Anxiety at Kelurahan Simpang Tiga Pekanbaru
KONSTRUKSI CITRA ISLAM DALAM FILM “?” (TANDA TANYA)

This research is about the image of Islam in the movie "?" (Tanda Tanya), the movie "Tanda Tanya" is a film full of nuances that are considered controversial Islamic by Muslim leaders in Indonesia. They say the film is tarnished and increase bad image of Islam and his community. Scenes and dialogue in the film that led to the image of Islam. Scenes and dialogue can be a sign that can be interpreted on the image of Islam. This paper aims to analyze and interpretant the signs as scenes and dialogue that led to the Islamic religious imagery. The signs in this film is classified in the Muslim poverty, violence by Islamic ummah, tiongha ethnic hate and perversion committed by the Islamic religion. The results of this research indicate that the negative image of Islam and the religion of his people. (1) Islam is described as poor people so willing to do anything to get a job, (2) Like tiongha ethnic insults and looking for trouble against them, (3) Islam and the ummah is a religion of violence and acts of terrorism teaching and delivery that makes the public uneasy, (4) The person is a Muslim, who is unsteady will penderiannya, very easy to convert just because they think Islam is a very burdensome Shari'a. Results of this study, according to the authors showed that the image of Muslims is very bad in the film "?" (Tanda Tanya).

Abstract Perception is an internal process that allows us to select, organize and interpret stimuli from our environment and processes that affect us. Blog is one of the social media are used as online diary, a place to share information to this blog widely used as a means business. Tokoaborsi.wordpress.com Blog is a blog that advertise and offer services online that abortion is a form of abuse blog. The purpose of the study was to determine the perception of the students of Informatics Engineering of the blog tokoaborsi.wordpress.com and to investigate what factors influence their perceptions related to the existence of the blog tokoaborsi.wordpress.com. Through this research, it can be seen how students' perceptions of Information on tokoaborsi.wordpress.com blog seen by the sensation that arises when viewing the blog that is affected by the sensory organs of sight, from the sensation they feel emerging attention on objects - objects that may be in the affected blogs by motion, intensity stimuli, novelty and looping contained in tokoaborsi.wordpress.com blog. And perceptions of the process by the end of the cultural background, past experiences, values - shared values and news - news evolves. Strategi Komunikasi Pimpinan Dalam Mengimplementasikan Standar Operasional Prosedur (SOP) Di Unit Pelaksana Teknis Dinas Pengujian Kendaraan Bermotor (UPTD PKB) Kota Pekanbaru

Abstract Technical Unit Testing Department of Motor Vehicles (UPTD PKB) has a Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) in the ministry so that it made the head UPTD PKB should have a way of communicating to employees to make SOP for guidance in service. Seeing at this phenomenon, researchers feel need to research for leadership in implementing communication strategies Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) in the Technical Unit Testing Department of Motor Vehicles (UPTD PKB) at Pekanbaru city. The purpose of this study to determine the vertical and horizontal’s communication in implementing SOP in UPTD PKB at Pekanbaru city. This research use a qualitative of descriptive approach. The techniques of the collecting the data is observation, interviews, and documentation. The subjects were headmaster of UPTD PKB, employees also the communitees who have an interest and the object of research is leader of communication strategy. Examination of the validities of the data and techniques used an extension of participation and triangulation. The results showed that the communication strategies used are quite as good as the leadership of department memorandum, breafing, via phone and interpersonal of communication. Coordination were had between fellow of employees were good enough, but still at there, some employees that have not implemented the SOP too for guidance in serving the communities. And there two technicals and non-technicals issues that occur the inhibited of employees in implementing SOP technical issues the related to the lack of supporting facilities, while about the non-technical issues that have some staffs were used in some events.
HUBUNGAN PROGRAM JEJAK PETUALANG DI TRANS 7 DENGAN PERILAKU MAHASISWA PECINTA ALAM DAN LINGKUNGAN HIDUP (MAPALINDUP) UNIVERSITAS RIAU

This experiment is meant to discover the relation of the program Jejak Petualang in Trans 7 with the audience's responses, which in this case is the university ecologists and the living environment in University of Riau. This experiment uses a quantitative method which uses observation, questionnaire, interview and documentation to collect the data. To find out whether the variable X and Y to have any significant relation, the writer uses statistic correlation analysis product moment. The X variable is the Jejak Petualang program in Trans 7 while the variable Y is Mapalindup University of Riau. The population in this experiment is 70 people. The technique that is used to gather the samples is a census method which is a method that takes the whole population as a respondent.(Kriyantono, 2008: 159). The result of this shows (1) The relation between Jejak Petualang in Trans 7 with Mapalindup University of Riau on the category of "strong and high" this is based on the data analysis that uses the correlation product moment with r count as 0,653 and r table 0,235 which results from N= 70 and α= 0.05. Which mean that H0 is rejected while H1 is accepted because there's a significant relation between Jejak Petualang in Trans 7 with Mapalindup University of Riau. (2) The understanding of Mapalindup UR in watching Jejak Petualang in Trans 7 is: to increase the knowledge and education about the states and the nature's richness in Indonesia, the episodes are interesting, the presenter guided the show sublimely, also the respondent of the environment
Strategi Integrated Marketing Communication (IMC) Riau Pos dalam Mempertahankan Pelanggan

Nothing customer and community satisfaction is the primary goal of every companies that embrace the marketing concept. The marketing concept which teaches the formulation of the marketing strategy as a preferred plan to achieve that goal, must be based on the customer needs and desires. Every company requires appropriate integrated marketing communications strategy or Integrated Marketing Communication (IMC). Riau Pos is one company that chose Integrated Marketing Communication (IMC) strategy in sustaining their customers. This study aims to analyze Riau Pos strategy of Integrated Marketing Communication (IMC) in sustaining their customers. This study also aimed to know the obstacles faced by Riau Pos in carrying out the Integrated Marketing Communication (IMC) strategy. The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative. The data collection technique used include observation, interview, and documentation. Further sampling to informants conducted using purposive sampling technique. The number of subjects of this research is nine. The participatory extension techniques and triangulation is used to check the validity of the research data. The results indicate the strategy used by Riau Pos in sustaining their customers using Integrated Marketing Communication (IMC) strategy in the form of advertising, direct marketing, public relations, sponsorship, merchandising, social media and website. The strategy used by Riau Pos is received positively by the customers. The strategy makes the customer to remain loyal to Riau Pos. In carrying out Integrated Marketing Communication (IMC) strategy, Riau Pos experiencing problems such as Human Resources (HR), technical issues and news content issues. Obstacles are apparently disturbed the customer although the customer does not decide to unsubscribe.
PERAN HUMAS SEKOLAH MENENGAH ATAS DALAM MENGEMBANGKAN RINTISAN SEKOLAH BERTARAF INTERNASIONAL (RSBI) DI SMA NEGERI 8 PEKANBARU

The Pioneer International based school (RSBI) is a National Standard School which provides students with the National Standard Education of Indonesia and international level. It needs to build up a good reputation for the school in order to level up the RSBIinto International based school, this studyaims to figure out the role of involvement of PR in SMA Negeri 8 Pekanbaru in the development of RSBI as well as the supporting and obstacle factors of PR.The result shows that Vice Principal of PR Division has fulfilled the four roles of PR.Some of the roles have been applied according to the theory used, however the other applications are done contextually appropriate of the conditions at SMANegeri 8 Pekanbaru. The four roles are communication technician, expert prescriber, communication facilitator, and problem-solving facilitator. Nonetheless, PR also puts efforts in socializing, publication, building up national as well as International Corporation and responsible in developing the school program. The supporting factors of PR are the well-known reputation of the school, the good quality resources, support given by the students’ parents and alumni. The obstacles of PR are the separation of room between PR and staffs therefore reducing the work efficiency,multijobs given to PR and lack of people as well as the not PR education background.The PR of SMA Negeri 8 Pekanbaru implements two-way symmetrical communication in order to maintain harmonious communication between the schools with the stakeholders to create a positive and reliable image
PROMOTIONAL STRATEGIES OF DEPARTEMENT OF CULTURE AND TOURISM OF TANJUNGPINANG RIAU ARCHIPELAGO IN PROMOTING ATTRACTION OF PENYENGAT ISLAND

ABSTRACK Penyengat island is one of the tour attractions which is a mainstay in Tanjungpinang city. The tour attractions are under the administrationof Department of Culture and Tourism of Tanjungpinang, Riau Archipelago which is responsible to introduce to local and foreign tourists. The purpose of this study is to investigate the use of promotional strategies of Department of Culture and Tourism of Tanjungpinang in promoting attractions of Penyengat Island and the factors that affect promotion strategies to promote attractions of Penyengat Island. This study uses a qulitative descriptive writing methods and data collection techniques that can be sorted by reality in the field through observation, interviews and documentation. Informants of this study is amounted to 16 people were taken by purposive sampling method. Author uses Interactive Data Analysis Model to describe result of research in data analysis and for checking the validity of data, author uses participatory extension techniques and triangulation. The result shows that the promotion strategy carried out by Department of Culture and Tourism of Tanjungpinang is not maximum.

Abstract Communication between leading part of head Tambusai with his officers can give motivation, participation and the important information. Communication must not based on the time, pleace and condition, so the officers can do their jobs based on the instructions, on time and correctly. The aims of this research are to know the role of leader communication in increase of ability the officer head Tambusai, and then to know the supporting and resistor factors from that activities. This study used descriptive qualitative method. The number of informants of this study is as much as 21 people. The data are then discussed and analyzed through a model of interactive data analysis and technical examination of the validity of the data. The result from this study indicate that the role of leader as a creator of ideas, communication planner, as an expert, as a holder of group responsibility and as a conduit of information has been executed. Abstract The problems that occurred in areas of the State's economy Indonesia is corruption that is currently happening at the Directorate General of Taxation. The purpose of this study was to determine how the public relations strategies in arising a positive image of the public in the Regional Office of the Directorate General of Taxation Riau and Riau Islands in Pekanbaru. This study used a qualitative method based on primary data source and secondary data and also techniques of data collection of observation, interviews, and documentation. Data analysis techniques using strategic communication models and theories of Laswell, where the data obtained and processed to be reduced, served to produce a general conclusion, and examination techniques and data using participatory extension and tringulasi. Through this study it can be seen how the public relations strategy arises a positive image of the public in the Regional Office of the Directorate General of Taxation Riau and Riau Islands in Pekanbaru, among others, through some aspects of the approaches or PR strategies such as operational strategy, persuasion, and educational, social responsibility approach public relations, partnership approach, and coordinative and integrative approach. Public Relations Directorate General of Taxation to arise positive image to the public / people do accordance with the five types of images, such as a valid image, the image of hope, and the image of the compound. Related factors are the supporting factors such as the availability of infrastructure facilities, good cooperation with the media, and the motivation of the employee to perform public relations training. Factors inhibiting the factors that most employees have formal education beyond public relations, lack of personnel relations, which until now only about 10 people.

Processing data using interactive analysis models, where the model is composed of three main activities, namely data reduction, penyortian data, drawing conclusions. The results of this study image Riau Governor H. M Rusli Zainal formed a positive image for the community dim view of Rusli Zainal after this news, because his status is still as witnesses, as well as the negative image that is formed because people are disillusioned with the case with the project PON XVIII in Riau Province

One of problem that faced like natural disaster. It was threaten continuously, and made the tourism fearness for coming to West Sumatera province. Besides, a few object tourism that is less management nicely in term of treatment and the maintenance, became break freshness of the tourist that can excacerbate West Sumatera tourism image in the view of tourist. Beside the problem that is being faced, Department Of Culture and Tourism of West Sumatera Province, as parts that have most responsibility to answer on West Sumatera tourism claimed to a part from over coming problems, they also have to keep West Sumatera tourism in order to attack not only domestic interest but also foreight tourist to increase number of visits. Making an organization to survive and even devolop continually now a days is trough communication. One simple from communication in a big organization is horizontal communication. Horizontal communication can be appled between a leaders or members. Horizontal communication between leaders can make an organization to survive until now. This researeh used qualitative descriptive method. The source of date consisted primary date trough interview into several leaders in Pimpinan Daerah (PD) Muhammadiyah Kota Pekanbaru. Besides, written documents was also used as the main date. Mean while secondary date was from both PD Muhammadiyah Kota Pekanbaru and the writer herself using digital camera containing the general description , structures of the organization , the duties and functions of every leaders in PD Muhammadiyah Kota Pekanbaru.
