    CONDITION OF PHYSIOLOGY FISH TILAPIA (OREOCHROMIS NILOTICUS) ARREST IN THE PROCESS OF USING TOOLS TO CAPTURE ACTIVELY MONITORED ELECTROCARDIOGRAPH (ECG)

    The research was conducted in March 2013 with the object of Tilapia (Oreochromis niloticus). The research objects are counted by the number of heartbeats different current treatments. The purpose of this study was to determine the heart rate of tilapia (Oreochromis niloticus), a basic knowledge of predicting the rate of metabolism and respiration and heart rate also determine the activity of tilapia at different swimming speeds, in the process of catching up with the use of active fishing gear. The higher the flow rate used in tilapia fishes the heart rate up, and seen in the relative heart rate ranging from (1.1 to 3.78), a portrait that fish require a lot of energy so that the fish is also increasing the body's metabolisme.

    PENGARUH VARIASI SUSUNAN SERAT TERHADAP KEKUATAN MATERIAL FIBERGLASS PADA KAPAL PERIKANAN PRODUKSI GALANGAN KAPAL KARYA SAKTI BENGKALIS

    The material strength of shipbuilders is one of the factors that support the quality of the ships, the better quality of ingredients, more qualified ship created. This research aimed to find out whether influence of composition of variation of strength of materials. This study aims to: (1) to find out there is the influence of variation of laminated fiber on tensile strength and press the fiberglass, (2) to determine the variations in the composition of fibres which are most suitable for use as layers of the hull. This research uses a variation of the 4 specimens, i.e. the specimen 1 (WR-WR-WR-Mat-Mat-Mat), specimen 2 (WR-Mat-WR-WR-Mat-Mat),specimen 3 (WR-Mat-Mat-Mat-WR-WR) and specimen 4 (Mat-WR-WR-WR-Mat-Mat) using survey methods, laboratory testing method (test tensile and bending test), methods of descriptive statistics and test variants in one direction (one way ANOVA). The results of this study indicate that the specimen with the variations in fiber WR-Mat-Mat-Mat-WR-WR (specimen 3) tensile strength value the average voltage is greater (11.94 N/mm2) than any other fiber variation (specimens 1, 2, 4), the variations in fiber WR-WR-WR-Mat-Mat-Mat (specimen 1) tensile strain strength value on average bigger (3,245 N/mm2) than any other fiber variation (specimens 2, 3, 4) and the variations in fiber Mat-WR-WR-WR-Mat-Mat (specimen 4) bending strength has a value of voltage the greater average (32,05 N/mm2) than any other fiber variation (specimens 1, 2,3).

    THE SHIP WITH AND WITHOUT SHAKY FIN STABILIZER IN LIEU OUTRIGGER

    The research was conducted in March 2013 by using models with and without fin stabilizer specially designed fiber made of materials as an alternative to outrigger. The purpose of this study was to determine the ship roll period which is not used with the use of fin stabilizer. Values are included in the calculation of the equation approaches shaky period so as to produce a comparison value which is calculated from the equation shaky period. Calculation results are given to conclude that the period of roll fin stabilizer models with lower than the model without fin stabilizer.

    REGIONAL MAPPING OF GILL NET FISHING IN SUB-ESTUARY DOWNSTREAM INDRAGIRI RIAU PROVINCE

    This study was conducted on 2 February to 8 February 2013 in the District of estuary Indragiri regency, Riau Province. This study aimed to determine the distribution of the operating area and gillnet fishing gear can point spread formations gillnet fishing areas in the District of estuary Indragiri regency, Riau Province. The method used in this study is a survey method is by directly observing the drift gill net fishing gear by using GPS as the determination of the location and ArcView GIS 3.3 for analyzing and visualizing the data in the district of estuary Indragiri. From the comparison of the point spread gillnet fishing areas there are different fishing areas and fishing every day in the District of estuary Indragiri comply arrest pathways that have been set by the government.

    The research has been done on march 2013, at Southern Distric of Bungus Village of Bungus Teluk Kabung Padang city of West Sumatera Province. The objectives this research to find out for preservation beach seine process with using salam wood fiber (Syzygium polyanthum). The data will be tabulation in table and picture form, then will be analyzed descriptively until get the conclusion about preservation beach seine with salam wood fiber. Based on the result research preservation beach seine fishing gear that was did by fisherman Southern District of Bungus still minimum. Preservation process was did by fisherman Southern Distric of Bungus that named ubar process or in traditional language (minang) mengubar and tannin consist in salam wood was 17,518 %. Preservation beach seine process have good effect on beach seine fishing gear.

    STUDIES KELONG BILIS FISHING TECHNOLOGY THE VILLAGE KOTE DISTRICT SINGKEP REGENCY LINGGA ISLANDS RIAU

    The research was conducted in December 2012 in the village of Kote District Singkep Lingga regency of Riau Islands province. The purpose of this study was to determine whether the kelong fishing gear in Kote village is included in eco-friendly fishing gear or not and also to determine the feasibility of the buissness. The method used was a survey by direct observation in the field and doing interviews and discussions with fishermen. Based on the FAO (1995) criteria of environmentally friendly fishing gear it can be concluded the kelong fishing gear was eco-friendly. Feasibility analysis of the calculation results showed that kelong fishing (light fishing with lift net) effort to the benefit of fishermen and deserves to be continued because the value of BCR (Benefit Cost Ratio) of 1.3 is obtained. FRR (Financial Rate of Return) is 23.46%. and PPC (Payback Period of Capital) is 4 years and 2 months.

    STUDY ON THE PVC TRAP FOR ELL (Monopterus albus)

    For purpose to examine and compare efectiveness of the PVC and traditional trap for catching ell (M. Albus). Experimental fishing was conducted in field rice as fishing ground of the ell. Five unit PVC and tradistional traps repectively were set in the fishing ground randomly. The method that used for this study is experimental fishing.The fishing catches data were analized by t-student. The result show that the traditional trap more effective than PVC traps (P < 0.05), which the total of traditional trap fihing catches was 156 individuals and the PVC trap was 88 individuals. The comparisson of fishing catches of the traditional and PVC trap will be deeply discussed in this paper.

    VISIBILITY OF MONOFILAMENT AND MULTIFILAMENT AS FISHING GEAR MATERIALS IN WATERS

    For purpose is to know the visibility distance of fishing gear’s material with different color (white, red, yellow and blue) in the waters, it expected can be applied to the fishing gear’s construction to obtain the best color material for fishing gear performance. The monofilament 2 mm in diameter and multifilament 10 mm in diameter was tied at wire frame (1 x 1 m). The wire frame was shot in 1-5 meter water depth with the distance 0.5-2 meter by underwater digital camera (Canon G11). The photograph result show that the visibility distances of monofilament was 0.5 meter in the waters. Meanwhile, the visibility distance of red and blue multifilament was 1 meter. However, the visibility distance of white and yellow multifilament was 1.5 meters. Furthermore, the effect of environment factors on the visibility distance of multifilament and monofilament were discussed in this paper.

    The research was conducted in June 2012 at Teluk Pambang Village Bantan District Bengkalis Regency Riau Province. The purpose of this research was to investigate construction development and result fishing longline gear (mini long line) at Teluk Pambang Village Bantan District Bengkalis Regency Riau Province in 2004 to 2012. The method used in this study is a survey method. The results showed that there were similarities between longline construction in 2004 and 2012 are the main line, branch line, bouy, hook, bouy line, weights line, anchor, anchor line. While the difference of construction between the two components present in a weight (sinker). For catches obtained in 2004 and 2012 was decreased Kurau fish catches in 2012.

    This research was conducted on 26 June – 5 July 2011 at Village Teluk, Kuala Kampar sub district, Pelalawandistrict in Riau Province. This research aims to examine the construction of drift gillnet fishing gear resulting in a drift gillnet new design. The Method used in this research is a survey method is by directly observing FISHING gear drift gillnet used by fishermen at Teluk Village. Characteristics nets studied and the data are compared according to the discussion of literature study that resulted in the design of fishing gear drift gillnet new. From the comparison there are several differences as follows: webbing; mesh size, the number of mesh size (MD and ML), weight and knot nets. Line rigging; structural line as well as the amount of line ris up and strap ris down below. Buoys; Amount buoys and distance installation. Ballast; Amount weights and distances installation. Peluntang; Amount bouys and distance installation.

    STUDY ON THE MATERIAL OF OCTOPUS TRAP AS SUBSITUTION MATERIAL SNAIL SHELL AT SEI NAGALAWAN VILLAGE, NORT SUMATERA

    Purpose of this study is to invent a alternative material for octopus trap, which subsituted snail shell. The experimental fishing was conducted to find out the best material for octopus trap. Two treatments was used in this experiment, which was ceramic and coconut shell. While, the snail sheel as a control. The ceramic, coconut shell and snail shell trap was set randomly at main line. Those were setting 3-4 miles from the coastal line, with 4-5 meters water depth. The result show that the fishing cacthes of snail shell trap was highest than ceramic and coconut snail trap, which was 12 induviduals for snail shell trap, 6 individuals for ceramic traps and 2 individuals for coconut shell traps. Efectivity of snail shell trap was influenced due to its highest rupture resistance in the waters than ceramic than coconut shell and had proporsional demension to octopus size as main fishing target.

    FISHING TECHNOLOGY STUDIES AT OCTOPUS BUBU NAGALAWAN SEI SERDANG DISTRICT PERBAUNGAN BEDAGAI NORTH SUMATRA PROVINCE

    The research was conducted in December 2012 that took place in the village of Sei Serdang Nagalawan Perbaungan Bedagai District, North Sumatra. The purpose of this study was to determine the factors associated with capture technology environmental friendliness on octopus trap gear and feasibility of octopus traps. In conducting this study used a survey method is to perform direct observations in the field and doing interviews and discussions with fishermen trap octopus. From the observation in accordance with the FAO (1995) indicates that the octopus trap fishing gear can classified into a very friendly environment. Gear octopus trap gear is gear using conch shells to catch octopus. The results of the feasibility analysis calculations on octopus trap fishing gear and benefits appropriate to proceed with a B / C> 1 that is equal to 1.8, the FRR (Financial Rate of Return) is 1.4%. and PPC (Payback Period of Capital) is 7 months.

    The research was conducted on December 2012 In the village Centai District Merbau island Regency Meranti islands Riau. This study aims to determine the level of environmental friendliness gombang fishing gear, business feasibility and factors gombang capture technology.The method used is the survey method is with direct observation in the field and doing interviews and discussions with fishermen. From the observation in accordance with the FAO (1995) indicates that, gombang fishing gear including fishing gear into environmentally friendly but gombang gear is not selective fishing gear. Gombang capture technology influenced several factors that is tidal factor, current velocity, water depth and weather. The results of the business feasibility analysis calculations indicate that fisheries gombang provide benefits to fishermen and deserves to be developed because of the value of BCR (Benefit Cost Ratio) is obtained at 1.8, FRR (Financial Rate of Return) is 48%. and PPC (Payback Period of Capital) is 2 years and 1 month and 6 days.

    Efisiensi Waktu Pengisian Perbekalan Terhadap Waktu Tambat Kapal Perikanan Bagan Perahu Di Tangkahan Bunga Karang Kota Sibolga Provinsi Sumatera Utara

    This research was held in 5 – 28 July 2012 in Tangkahan Bunga Karang Sibolga City Kelurahan Pancur North Province. The purpose of this research is to know time efficiency degree of time debarkation which needed by fisherman in making land fishes the resulf of capture especially on arrest tools ship draft and factors which are influenced. The method that use in this research is survey method. The result shows that discharge time efficiency toward fishery ship armada of ship draft that happen ranging from 34,40% until 65,50% with discharge time efficiency average 54,27%. There are some factors which making strong and weak correlation toward discharge time efficiency. Those factors which are making strong correlation, are: Tangkahan laborer value, laborer sort and wasting time, whereas factors which are making weak correlation toward discharge time efficiency are tether distance and weighing table, result capture value, armada dimension, discharge speed, and weather.

    THE DISTRIBUTION OF FISHING PORT FISHERIES NIZAM ZACHMAN IN THE FISHERY SECTOR OF JAKARTA PROVINCE

    The research was carried out on November 5, up to November 20, 2012 at the Fishing Port Fisheries Nizam Zachman Jakarta (PPSNZJ) by using survey method. The purpose of the research was to obtain data and information on the distribution of Fishing Port Fisheries Nizam Zachman in the fishery sector of Jakarta Province. The results showed that the revenue fleet, the number of fishermen, fish distribution, fish production and utilization facilities PPS Nizam Zachman larger and had increased from year to year, if it was compared to the income of the fisheries sector in DKI Jakarta. The distribution of PPSNZJ in the fisheries sector revenues derived from the value of a fleet of 45.24% -58.65%, the number of fishermen 74.95% - 90.16%. distribution fish 77.92% -84.04%, fish production value of 58.88%- 91.97%, 21.71% - 63.71 total exports, 75.65% -91.02% canteen rental and services fit entrance 74.25% - 90.24% shown the value of the role > 50% or large. For the amount range of fishing gear in PPSNZJ was 18.24% - 29.73% which shown a small role 50% in < the fishery sector.

    IDENTIFIKASI DAERAH PENANGKAPAN IKAN PELAGIS BESAR PADA MUSIM TIMUR BERDASARKAN SEBARAN SUHU PERMUKAAN LAUT DI PERAIRAN BARAT ACEH

    The aim this research was to identify the potential fishing ground for pelagic fish in the East Season of Western Coast of Aceh. The study was conducted from June to August 2012 with data interpretation were done at Fishing Ground Laboratory at Aquatic Resources Utilitation Department, University of Riau by using suivey method. The Sea Surface Temperature data were gathered by downloading Aqua MODIS images level 1b scanned in June to August (2009- 2011). SST distribution used to show the potential fishing ground by indicators suchas optimum SST, upwelling and water front. The result indicated the rate of SST in the East Season 2009 was 250C-310C, 200C-290C in 2010, and 160C-310C in 2011. Upwelling and water front accured in June to July 2010 and July to August 2011. The SST during the research at study area 160C-310C which optimum temperature for pelagic fish.

    Time Efficiency Of Fish Landing Toward Mooring Time Sondong Fishing Boats In Pangkalan Pendaratan Ikan Dumai City Riau Province

    This research was conducted in March 2012 in Pangkalan Pendaratan Ikan Dumai Riau Province. The purpose of this study was to determine how big time efficiency of the fish landing versus mooring time fishing boats sondong and the factors that influence it. The method used in this study is a survey method. The results showed that the level of efficiency of a fish landing in Dumai PPI ranged from 17,65% to 60% with an average of 36,57. There are several factors that have a strong and weak on the efficiency of a landing. Some of the factors that have a strong relationship is the size of the ship, age ABK, wasted time, and the speed of loading, while the factors that have weak ties are caught and jety distance to the fish auction place.

    The study was conducted on July 03-13, 2012 in Teluk Pambang Village Bantan District Bengkalis Regency of Riau Province. The purpose of this study was soul to determine the effective method for catching Kurau fish. The effective where method in based on indicator as the indicated such as size of caught fish, how the fish caught by net, fish behavior, and number of catches of each fishing method and beside to investigate whether those methods is ecofriendly or not refer to FAO 1995 regulation. Gill net and mini long line can caught kurau fish, gill net caught much more fishes than mini long line as gill net method block the fish schoal movement whereas the mini long line depead on alfaction organ of fish in find the bait position as influence of the currents. The size of bait can influence the alluring of fish to bite. Based on FAO 1995 regulation that longline fishing gear and gill net can be concluded as the environmentally friendly fishing gears.

    The research was conducted in July 2012 at Teluk Pambang village Bantan District Bengkalis Regency Riau Province. The method used in this research is the survey method, and the data were analyzed descriptively. The analysis consisted of: 1) The feasibility of fishing technology on kurau nets referring to standards established Food Agriculture Organization (FAO) (1995); 2) Profitability and feasibility fishing kurau nets; The results showed that the fishing technology kurau net was still ecologycal friendly and financially profitable (NPV> 0; B / C> 1; PI> 1).

    EFISIENSI WAKTU PENGISIAN PERBEKALAN TERHADAP WAKTU TAMBAT KAPAL PERIKANAN SONDONG DI PANGKALAN PENDARATAN IKAN (PPI) DUMAI PROVINSI RIAU

    The research was conducted on 3-18 July 2012 held at Fish Landing Base (PPI) Dumai Riau Province. The method used in this research is a survey method and conducted for 9 days where every day in data capture sondong 1 unit of fishing boats were chosen purposively. The purpose of this study was to determine the level of efficiency of the charging time to time supplies sondong fishing boat mooring in fish landing base (PPI) Dumai and the things that influence it. The results of research that the efficiency of the charging time by fishing supplies gear sondong ranged from 44.29% to 71.15% and classified as less efficient. This is indicated by the average charging time efficiency provisions of 57.58%. The factors that have a strong relationship is the amount of time wasted, the amount of fuel supplies, the age of the perpetrator charger supplies, fishing path length, the amount of fresh water supplies, the amount of time wasted. Factors that have weak ties that supplies the amount of ice, the amount of GT, and the count of fishing trip.
