    Domestic Violence Act is goverment policy to protection of women's rights. During the time the women victims of domestic violence shackled by wrong religious and cultural interpretation. This research studies the implementation Domestic Violence Act in Batam City, what the barriers factor and the prevention efforts. This research is a socio-juridical with the primary data. In conclusion, the implementation Domestic violence Act in Batam City have many problem such as patriarkhi culture and much people in Batam doesn’t know about Domestic Violence Act. The goverment of Batam have to made material of gender in a formal education system to change the culture.

    Kedudukan Perempuan Dan Laki-Laki Menurut Hukum Islam

    Dalam konteks islam kedudukan perempuan dan laki-laki adalah sama, yang membedakan hanyalah iman dan ketaqwaannya kepada Tuhan YME. Namun perkembangan global dan budaya telah memposisikan perempuan sebagai makhluk kedua setelah laki-laki. Indonesia sebagai negara yang mayoritas masyarakatnya adalah muslim, sudah sepantasnya memberikan perlindungan yang khusus terhadap perempuan untuk berkiprah diranah publik sepanjang tidak melupakan tugas-tugas kodratinya. Perlindungan khusus tersebut dapat dalam bentuk kebijakan-kebijakan yang dituangkan dalam bentuk peraturan perundang-undangan.

    Perlindungan Hukum Terhadap Perempuan Korban Kekerasan Dalam Rumah Tangga (Kdrt) Berdasarkan Cedaw Di Indonesia

    Elimination of Domestic Violence Law (Law No.23/2004 or UUPKDRT) is government policy to protect human rights especially woman’s human rights. This paper examines whether the rights of woman victims of domestic violence in Indonesia based on principles of Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Discrimination Againts Women (CEDAW). This research is normative legal one and uses secondary data. The conclusion is Elimination of Domestic Violence Law (UUPKDRT) has applied principles of CEDAW. In this paper, writer recommends to build special court to face cases of domestic violence. This court should use mediation method and has ad hoc judges who have skill in criminal action especially domestic violence.
