Abstract
Domestic Violence Act is goverment policy to protection of women's rights. During
the time the women victims of domestic violence shackled by wrong religious and
cultural interpretation. This research studies the implementation Domestic Violence
Act in Batam City, what the barriers factor and the prevention efforts. This research
is a socio-juridical with the primary data. In conclusion, the implementation
Domestic violence Act in Batam City have many problem such as patriarkhi culture
and much people in Batam doesn’t know about Domestic Violence Act. The
goverment of Batam have to made material of gender in a formal education system to
change the culture.
