Abstract
The research was carried out starting from the problem class V student learning
outcomes especially in science subjects ketuntasannya still low: it can be seen from
the preliminary data of only 16 students or 44.4% of the 36 students who achieve a
minimum completeness criteria (KKM) established school is 60, while 55.6% or 20
students who did not achieve KKM again with an average of 56.9%. This study aims
to improve science learning outcomes SDN 020 V class Bukitraya Pekanbaru
through the application of cooperative learning model NHT type by the number of
students 36 students. Forms of research is a class act. The research instrument
consisted of the study and data collection instruments such as observation sheets
teacher activity, student activity and student science achievement test.
Based on the data that has been described in Chapter IV, it could be concluded that
the type of cooperative learning model to improve learning outcomes NHT IPA fifth
grade students of SDN 020 Bukit Raya Pekanabaru. These results are known from
the fifth grade students learn science (the average student learning outcomes before
action was 56.9, and the increase in the first cycle with an average value of 58.5 or
category, whereas in the second cycle the average value achieved in 70.6 or category.
thus an increase of 23.9%). When viewed in terms of classical completeness,
contained 97.2% of the students in the second cycle. Thus, the research work.
Because classical completeness has been reached or exceeded 80% of students
received grades meet or exceed KKM, the research hypothesis which states if
cooperative learning model type NHT applied, it can improve learning outcomes
fifth grade science students SDN 020 Bukit Raya Pekanbaru acceptable.
