Abstract
The results of that study are expected by every high school and achieve minimum
mastery criteria. Lack of student learning outcomes are influenced by many
factors. One is the learning process in the classroom. This study aims to improve
mathematics learning outcomes in SMA N 12 Pekanbaru by implement
cooperative learning model approach to structural Think Pair Square. Research is
action research conducted by two cycles. Each end of the cycle of daily tests
carried out. Action research was conducted collaboratively between researchers
and teachers of mathematics, as well as the subject of as many as 37 students who
comprised 11 men and 26 women. Data collected through observation and tests in
the form of daily tests. Data analysis was performed with analysis of descriptive
narrative and descriptive statistical analysis. Criteria for success of the action is
successful if the number of students who achieve a score basis increase in daily
tests daily tests I and II . The number of students who achieve a score of minimum
mastery criteriaon basic, daily tests I (first cycle), daily test II (second cycle) are
respectively 10.81%, 59.46%, and 78.38%. Minimum mastery criteria attainment
percentage indicates that the structural approach of cooperative learning can
improve learning outcomes Think Pair Square math class XI IPA 2 SMA N 12
