Subjects in this study were 165 grade IIID SDN Pekanbaru academic year 2011/2012 the number of students 34. The research was conducted in two cycles, the first cycle performed twice second cycle was also conducted two meetings. Data collection instrument in this study is the observation sheet student, teacher observation sheet, rubric assessment process and outcome assessment rubric. The study is in the form of classroom action research (CAR), which aims to improve the ability to draw in class IIID grade students of SDN 165 Pekanbaru. material to draw shapes. These results indicate that the application of learning models CTL can improve the ability to draw shapes IIID grade students of SDN 165 Pekanbaru. At baseline only 15 students were able to draw with the average value of 61 and a percentage of 44.11%.
