ABSTRACT
Cooperative Learning Model is a model of learning, where students learn in small
groups with different levels of ability in completing the task groups. This research
aims to improve the learning results of science grade V in primary schools 021 Tassel
through the application of learning Model Cooperative Type STAD. This research
was conducted in April-May 2011. The subject of research is the grade V elementary
school 021 Tassel totalling 35 people that consists of 19 men and 16 women. The
parameters of the research is the result of student learning outcomes students
individually and classical, the activity of the student and teacher activities. Of
research results obtained average results of student learning based on Deuteronomy I
cycle daily I 71,77% (enough) and the value of Deut. II on daily cycle II 82,74% by
category (good). Student learning outcomes are on the increase of cycle-to-cycle II I
was 10,97%. Standar grade student learning on a cycle I expressed satisfaction with
the percentage of 77,14% and cycle II also expressed satisfaction with the percentage
of 97,14%. Ketuntasan studied classical students has increased from cycle to cycle I
II is 20.00%. Student activity on the cycle I 364.99% (enough), cycle II increased to
83,14% (good). The activity of the teacher in the cycle I average 80,69% (enough)
and cycle II increased to 94,32% (very good). So great an increase in the activity of
the teacher of the I and II cycles is 13,63%. From this research it can be concluded
