Abstract:
Industrial waste is a by-product of industrial processes from waste material or building
material. The study aimed to analyze the used of solid waste pulp dreg and grits through
chemical characterization to make bricks. Chararacterization of material used Scanning
Electron Microscope (SEM), X-Ray Fluoresence (XRF) and IR Prestige-21 instruments
aimed to analyze the chemical content of the waste. Test of compressive strength using
Universal Testing Machine (UTM) aimed to analyze the strength of material when
given a load with certain pressure. The result showed that the best which for bricks that
lower water absorption and bricks that have large compressive strength value.
