Item Growth and Survival Rate Of Silais (Ompok hypopthalmus) On Aquaponic System With Various Mustard Density(2013-01-11) Hairani, FatimahThe research was conducted from June 23 to August 23, 2012 for 40 days at UPT Breeding Laboratory, Faculty of Fisheries and Marine Science, University of Riau. The method used was experimental method and RAL one factor with 3 level of treatments. The objective of the study was to determine the effect of plant density level spacing in particular, on the growth of mustard (Brassicia juncea. L). Stocking density of each treatment in this study was P1 (20 mustards plants/container), P2 (30 mustards plants/container) and P3 (40 mustard plants/container). The best result was on P1 (20 mustards plants/container) with absolute growth rate weight of the fish slice (21.3 g), length of growth rate (6.36 cm), daily growth rate (2.15%) and survival rate of 100%. Water quality parameters recorded were: pH 5-6, DO 3.40 to 5.26 mg/l, CO2 6.65 - 11.40 mg/l, ammonia (NH3) 0.01 - 0.09 mg/l, nitrite (NO2-) 0.05 - 6.99 mg/l nitrate (NO3-) 3.47 - 7.54 mg/l, temperature 26-28 0C respectively. Plant growth rate (mustard) was 55.92 g and leght growth rate was 52.4 cm.
