Item STUDI TEKNOLOGI PENANGKAPAN GOMBANG DI DESA CENTAI KECAMATAN PULAU MERBAU KABUPATEN KEPULAUAN MERANTI PROVINSI RIAU(2013-03-28) Pulungan, AmrizalThe research was conducted on December 2012 In the village Centai District Merbau island Regency Meranti islands Riau. This study aims to determine the level of environmental friendliness gombang fishing gear, business feasibility and factors gombang capture technology.The method used is the survey method is with direct observation in the field and doing interviews and discussions with fishermen. From the observation in accordance with the FAO (1995) indicates that, gombang fishing gear including fishing gear into environmentally friendly but gombang gear is not selective fishing gear. Gombang capture technology influenced several factors that is tidal factor, current velocity, water depth and weather. The results of the business feasibility analysis calculations indicate that fisheries gombang provide benefits to fishermen and deserves to be developed because of the value of BCR (Benefit Cost Ratio) is obtained at 1.8, FRR (Financial Rate of Return) is 48%. and PPC (Payback Period of Capital) is 2 years and 1 month and 6 days.Item STUDIES KELONG BILIS FISHING TECHNOLOGY THE VILLAGE KOTE DISTRICT SINGKEP REGENCY LINGGA ISLANDS RIAU(2013-07-08) Suroto, AgusThe research was conducted in December 2012 in the village of Kote District Singkep Lingga regency of Riau Islands province. The purpose of this study was to determine whether the kelong fishing gear in Kote village is included in eco-friendly fishing gear or not and also to determine the feasibility of the buissness. The method used was a survey by direct observation in the field and doing interviews and discussions with fishermen. Based on the FAO (1995) criteria of environmentally friendly fishing gear it can be concluded the kelong fishing gear was eco-friendly. Feasibility analysis of the calculation results showed that kelong fishing (light fishing with lift net) effort to the benefit of fishermen and deserves to be continued because the value of BCR (Benefit Cost Ratio) of 1.3 is obtained. FRR (Financial Rate of Return) is 23.46%. and PPC (Payback Period of Capital) is 4 years and 2 months.
