Item TOTAL POPULASI MIKROBA PADA LAHAN GAMBUT ABRASI DI PESISIR PULAU BENGKALIS(Elfitra, 2022-07) Dwiningsih, Safrida; Zul, DelitaBengkalis district is one of the area dominated by peatlands. Most of peatland areas are found along the coast and influenced by tides and low tides. Tides and low tides can cause abrasion, affecting the microbial cells number and microbial diversity. This research aimed to calculate the microbial cells number on abrasion peat soil on the coast of Bengkalis Island. Soil samples were taken from shrubs (SM), peat boulder (BK), peatball (BG) and sesai (SS). Calculation of the microbial cells number using the plate count method by pour plate. Result showed that bacterial cells number ranged from 2,1-14,1 x105 CFU/g soil. The fungi cells number ranged from 0,4-6,6 x104 CFU/g soil. Based on the result, it can be concluded that the microbial cells number in locations that have not been affected by abrasion is higher than that of post-abrasion areas.
