Item PENGARUH FAKTOR ABIOTIK PADA TUMBUHAN BAWAH MERANTI RAMBAI (Shorea acuminata) DI HUTAN LARANGAN ADAT GHIMBO POTAI(Elfitra, 2023-01) Chairani, Nurfitri; Yahya, Vanda JulitaThe Ghimbo Potai Prohibition Forest is a customary forest located in Koto Tibun Village, Kampar District, Riau Province. Meranti Rambai is understorey plant at the Ghimbo Potai Forest that has an important role in the balance of ecosystem. This study aimed to determine the effect of abiotic factors on Meranti Rambai grown in the Ghimbo Potai Prohibition Forest. The research was conducted in January 2022 and samples were taken from four sites in the Ghimbo Potai Forest. Determination of sampling plots was carried out using tracking survey, placing plots based on presence of understorey vegetation amongst canopy of meranti rambai stands in Ghimbo Potai Forest. The results showed that abiotic factors including temperature, humidity, light intensity, canopy cover, and soil acidity (pH) affected the growth of understorey plants. The intensity of light entering forest floor was quite low leading to high temperature and humidity that affected the density of undergrowth on Meranti Rambai stands that grown in the good category.Item PENGARUH FAKTOR ABIOTIK TERHADAP REGENERASI KULIM DI KAWASAN HUTAN LARANGAN ADAT GHIMBO POTAI(Elfitra, 2023-01) Rinaldi, Said; Yahya, Vanda JulitaThe Ghimbo Potai Customary Forbidden Forest is a tropical forest with high biodiversity, and is protected by local customary regulations that make the forest habitat sustainable. This study aimed to determine the abiotic effect on the sustainability of the kulim vegetation in the Ghimbo Potai Prohibition Forest. The method used was purposive sampling by checking the existence of kulim trees, then a circle plot was made according to the canopy area and vegetation analysis was carried out. Air humidity in the five plots was in the range of 77-80%, while the air temperature ranges from 27.2 to 31.1℃. The intensity of sunlight under the canopy of the kulim trees ranges from 2,630 lux to 48,100 lux. Kulim tree canopy cover in this study ranged from 61.03% to 73.63%. Soil pH obtained in this study for the five kulim tree plots ranged from 5.2 to 6.1. The abiotic data obtained shows that the Kulim trees in the Ghimbo Potai Customary Prohibition Forest are classified as normal because of the abiotic factors that support the growth and existence of this species.
