    Peningkatan Motivasi Belajar Siswa Menggunakan Media Gambar pada Pembelajaran IPS di Kelas IV SD egeri 8 Duri Barat Kecamatan Mandau Tahun Pelajaran 2011/2012 PERMATA PUTI BAYDAR Abstract Improving of Students’ motivation by using the picture Media for the social lesson. Motivation is very important for the students’ to do all activities for reaching a goal. It has a big role in learning process for the students and teachers. Teacher as motivator has the function a lot to increase the spirit and developing of students’ activities. The usage of picture Media is very important to make a clarify and wide of the students’ understanding. It is hoped By usage the picture media in learning process, it can motivate and help them to solve some problems that be faced in learning process. The learning success is very effected by the teacher’s success in doing the learning innovation . That’s why the learning activities need be developed as effective and efficiently. The variation in learning process is an alternative to improve the students’ motivations and activities.
