Bina Widya KM 12,5 Pekanbaru ABSTRACT The research was motivated by the rapid economic growth so that the need for companies to consistently improve the financial performance of the company and can increase profits with companies that do not go public and that has been Go Public. Besides maximizing profits, the company is also required to increase shareholder wealth as reflected in its share price. Due to shareholders, with the rise in the stock market also increase the company's value. High stock price indicates the company's financial condition was stable so it can improve the welfare of the shareholders will be. And that is a major concern for investors in the financial statements is a change in the rate of profit, and that became one of the measures related to profitability is Earning Per Share and corporate liquidity is measured from the Current Ratio. This study aimed to determine the effect of Earning Per Share, and Current Ratio of stock prices in Indonesia Stock Exchange. Research conducted on companies incorporated in the food and beverage industry company listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange. The population in this study consisted of 16 companies with the study observation period of 3 years, the years 2008-2010. The data obtained were analyzed using path analysis (path analysis). Operational variables in this study consisted of two variables: the dependent variable (Y variable) is represented by the stock price and the independent variables (variables X) are represented by the Earning Per Share (X1 ) and Current Ratio (X2). Simultaneous testing of two independent variables affect the stock price is equal to 72.2%. The results showed that both variables affect the stock price variable Earning Per Share of 71.4% while variavel Current Ratio 0.4%.
