dc.description.abstractChalcone (E)-1-(3’-hidroxyphenyl)-3-(3-methoxysiphenyl)prop-2-en-1-one (MN) have been synthesized by Claisen–Schmidt condensation using potassium hydroxide as a catalyst under microwave irradiation. The reactions took placed in a short time (4 minutes) with a satisfying yield (55-96%). The chalcone structure was characterized based on the interpretation of spectroscopic data included UV, FTIR, 1H NMR and HRMS.en_US
