Abstract
This study aims to determine the implementation of Remedial Teaching in achieving
mastery learning students in the subject of physics of Senior High School in the city
of Pekanbaru. The method that is used a survey method in this study. Populations or
subjects in this study were all students of class XI Science Senior High School around
Pekanbaru city who have the physics remedial teaching in first semester 2012/2013
shool year, as many as 800 students. While the sample amounted to 243 people are
determined from tables developed by Ishack and Michael, with an error rate of 5%,
and their extraction technique using the Proportionate Stratified Random Sampling.
Data collection techniques used were distributing questionnaires and interviews to
students and teachers in each schools, concerning the implementation of Remedial
Teaching in achieving mastery learning students in the subjects of Physics All of
Senior High School around Pekanbaru. Data analysis techniques used in this study is
descriptive analysis of quantitative and qualitative. The result indicates that in the
opinion of students and teachers, the implementation of Remedial Teaching in Senior
High School in the city of Pekanbaru quite accomplished.
