dc.description.abstractOne of problems which imtil this time still became polemic is less land that can use to developing plant specially food plantation which by many reasons. Pelalawan regency do afford of decided, have been done exploit yard land program since 2007, by fomiing farmer group. Affectivities of farmer group is appointed by leader farmer contact in doing it's function. The aim of this research are to know; (1) characteristic internal and external farmers group(3) relation internal and external factors farmers group toward efectiv farmers group. This was an correlation descriptive cased research, that done at Pangkalan Kerinci district Pelalawan regency. Take of sample technique is with disproportional random sampling, where from two farmers group taken fifteen farmer from each farmers group, so that sample number are thirty farmers. Based on correlation rank test, Characteristic internal have very significantly related towiud effective farmers group cover revenue and satisfaction fanners group are formal education, farm experience, long of members farmer group, cosmopolite, and motivation of farmer group. External characteristic have very si^piificantly toward effective group are availability input of production and communication facility. For increase efectivity famers group, extention need to motivate farmer contact and give skill about leader with training activity. Efford to solve the problems in farmer group, need extention about dinamict group for all farmer group.en_US
