Abstract
This study aims to look at the activities of teachers applying to teach basic skills
in the opening and closing fourth grade science lessons Mining District of
Kampar regency.This research is a form of qualitative descriptive study. The
subjects were taken in this study is the fourth grade teacher Mine amounted to the
District 4 teachers from 4 schools who gathered in Rosella flower clusters. Data
collection tool used was a teacher observation sheet about the activities of
teachers in the opening and closing of science lessons.The results showed that the
activity of teachers in applying the basic skills taught science lessons to open and
close based on the observation of I, II and III as follows, on the activities at the
opening and closing of teachers teaching science with an average percentage of
open lesson at school A, B, C , and D by 33% to 92% on the first observation of
observation II and III. Acquisition average percentage cover lessons in schools A,
B, C, and D on the first observation of 35%, while the average percentage gains
after observation conducted II and III by 60%
