Abstract
The aim of this research was to identify the effect of the best ovaprim injection
toward semen volume and spermatozoa quality of fish pawas (Osteochilus hasselti CV). The
experiment used five treatments as following : P1 = 0.3 ml ovaprim/kg of body weight, P2 =
0.5 ml ovaprim/kg of body weight, P3 = 0.5 ml ovaprim/kg of body weight, P4 = 0.6 ml
ovaprim/kg of body weight and P5 = 2 ml NaCl fisiologis 0,65 %/kg of body weight). The
research yield demonstrated that the best injection was 0.5 ml ovaprim/kg of body weight
with a semen volume 0,63 ml, spermatozoa concentration 1404 x 10 7 sel/ml, spermatozoa
viability 86,54 % and spermatozoa motility 71,33 %
