ABSTRACT
The research was held in grade IV A at Elementary School Bintang Laut Bagansiapiapi on even semester academic year 2011/2012. Totally IV A students were 38 people consist of 20 males and 18 females. The research form of this study is classroom action research aimed to correct shortage in learning to increase the outcomes as expected. The model of the learning process in the classroom action is a roving group cooperative learning technique with standard competencies using fraction number in problem solving. The research consist of two cycles, each cycle done by three sessions and daily tests are done at the end of each cycle. The results from analysis of daily test 1 and daily test 2 show that the achievement of IV A grade students Elementary School Bintang Laut increased. Based on data analysis results concluded that with the implementation of coopertaive learning models a roving group technique shown the learning outcomes of math grade IV A Elementary School Bintang Laut Bagansiapiapi increased.
