Abstract

Stem rot disease is caused by the fungus Ganoderma boninense which can be main problem of holticulture oil palm in Indonesia. To control stem rot disease still use synthetic chemical fungicides. Biological control by using Trichoderma pseudokoningii can inhibit the growth of fungus G. boninense. The use of Trichoderma sp in the form of the substrate is less practical and efficien in factt, so that biological agens are formulated. Trichoderma sp require organic matter for food, the composition of the organic matter contained in the minimal cellulose. Palm midrib, rice husk, bagasse, rice straw and reeds, the carrier kaolin, tapioca starch used as a mix. To test the viability of storage T. pseudokoningii done. This study aimed to test the antagonist of T. pseudokoningii in the formulation of biofungisida are containing some organic materials as food on growth and development of the fungus G. boninense in vitro and got the exact formulation after storage. The experiment was conducted at the Phytopathology Laboratory of the Faculty of Agriculture, University Riau. The results showed that T. pseudokoningii in formulation of biofungisida which are containing some organic material as a food ingredient for T. pseudokoningii can increase growth and development of the fungus T. pseudokoningii so it can inhibit the growth and development of the fungus G. boninense. The highest ability antogonist of fungus T. pseudokoningii is in 36,25% containing organic palm midrib which saved for 4 weeks
