Abstract
This study aims to improve students' mathematics learning outcomes class VA in
SDN 54 Pekanbaru withPAKEM approaches. The results of this study were
obtained from observations of teachers and students' activities during the learning
process and student achievement test. This research is a form of action research
that consists of two cycles. An increase in the activities of teachers and students in
each cycle using PAKEM approach. In the first cycle of repeat students who
achieve KKM rose 42.85 points from a base score of 85.71%. In the second cycle
students who achieve KKM increased 9.53 points from the first cycle to 95.24%.
The average grade on the basis of score 63.81, in the first cycle increased to 76.19,
and the second cycle increased to 87.14. Percentage increase in learning outcomes
in the first cycle of 19.40% and the second cycle was 14.37%. From the research
it can be concluded that the application of this approach can improve learning
outcomes PAKEM math grade students of SDN 54 Pekanbaru
