dc.description.abstractRiau University is one of areas for Caesalpinoideae subfamily population. The purpose of this study was to characterize morphological characteristics of Caesalpinoideae leaves in this campus area. Sampling in the field was carried out by using exploratory method. A total of three Caesalpinoideae species are recorded in this study i.e. Caesalpinia pulcherrima, Delonix regia and Senna siamea. The leaf morphology of all these species are characterized and described in detail. Their leaf characteristics show variation on size, color and shape.en_US
