Abstract
The research was conducted in the city of Pekanbaru. The purpose of this
study is to investigate and analyze the effect caused by variable prices detergent,
soap cream prices, incomes and the number of family members on the level of
demand for detergents.
In this study population was drawn using detergent Society in the city of
Pekanbaru and using a sample of 100 respondents. This research Non Probability
Sampling techniques. The method of analysis used in this research is descriptive
quantitative method, partial and simultaneous analysis (multiple linear regression
analysis with SPSS).
From the research that has been done, Simultaneous Regression Test (Test F)
indicate that all the independent variables studied had a significant effect on demand
for detergents. Partial Regression Test (t test) showed that the variable factor of the
number of household members have the most significant impact on demand
detergents. The magnitude of the effect caused by (R2) by four variables together on
the dependent variable at 74.9%, while the remaining 25.1% is influenced by other
variables that are not included in this study
