| dc.description.abstract | The purpose of this research was to determined the effects of health education about post partum exercise by using audio visual media to influence knowledge, ability, and motivation in post partum mothers. This research used quasi experimental design. The population of this research is all of post partum mothers with normal childbirth in Camar 1 Room at Arifin Achmad General Hospital of Riau Province. Sample of this research is taken by using purposive sampling. This research’s sample composed of 50 respondents, divided into experiment group that have been given health education used audio visual media (25 respondents) and control group that have been given the health education without audio visual media (25 respondents). Data were collected by using questionnaire that have been tested in validity and reliability for knowledge and motivation, and observation chart for ability. Then, data were analyzed by using dependent t-test, independent t-test, wilcoxon signed rank test and mann whitney test with significance level of α 0,05. The results showed that audio visual media was effected the knowledge, ability and motivation in post partum mothers (p value 0,000). Result of this research recommends for health workers to provide health education by using audio visual media to increase the knowledge, ability, and motivation in post partum mothers to accelerate the healing process of post partum mothers with normal childbirth. | en_US |
