Abstract
Beauveria bassiana is entomophatogen fiingi has ability to agriculture plant pest control. The
objective of study was to find B. bassiana local of Riau from various agricultural plant soil in
Pekanbaru city. The experiments was conducted at Plant Pest Laboratory from August to November
2007. A completely randomized design with 4 treatments and 5 replication were used treatments
consisted 4 plant soil isolate origin such as plant soil banana, oil palm, mustard green and com. The
results showed that isolate B. bassiana from oil palm and banana plant soil needed infection during 8,6
- 11 days in soil media and 3 days on the filter paper. Sum of days that needed fungi in soil media and
filter paper are 11,6 - 14 days. Infection in Potatos Dextrose Agar medium wasted time 2 - 3 days with
1 cm diameter and density of conidia 128 x 10*- 144 x 10*cfii/ml. B. bassiana local of Riau condition
to come up controling plant pest.
