Abstract
Mathematics is one of the subjects taught in schools that have an important role in developing students' thinking skills. Within the scope of most small, grade level math student learning outcomes is still very low, especially in class IV Elementary School District 013 Segati, Sub District of Langgam, Pelalawan District, in the even semester of the academic year 2011/2012. The Research was undertaken by applying type Student Teams Achievement Divisions (STAD) cooperative learning model, that aims to help improve students' mathematics learning outcomes SDN 013 Segati class IV. The research was conducted in the fourth grade Segati SDN 013 starting on May 21, 2012 until June 6, 2012. The subjects of this research were fourth grade students of SDN 013 Segati totaling 32 people consisting of 16 male students and 16 female students. This research used two cycles, in each cycle there was 3 meetings and 1 time daily tests. The results of the first cycle found that the percentage of students who achieve mastery Minimum criteria (≥ 65) was 87.5% and the second cycle was 93.8%, which increased the percentage of the previous measures only 43.8%. The award for the eight groups in the first cycle and the second is a group of Super. The conclusion of this study indicate that cooperative learning model type Student Teams Achievement Divisions (STAD) can improve students' mathematics learning outcomes.
