Abstract
The research is motivated by the mcreas1no intens1tv of the Gold Minino exploration Without Permissron
(PET I) rn Kuantan S1ngmgi District Year 201 ~-2014. Increased mining activity has an impact on the
destruction of ecosvstems. The purpose of this study which is to
rdentifV and analyze the factors that led to the Gold M1n1no Without Perm1ss1on (PETI) in Kuantan
Sinq1nq1 District can not be min1m1zed The method used bv the minister to a qualitative approach to
data collect1ontechniques usinq in-depth rnterview techniques and studv documentatior. The results of
this studv Indicate that increased activity of the Gold Minino Without Permission (PETil in Kuantan
Sinq1nq1 District caused bv the existinq pol1t1cal svstem such as the svstem of leqal, social, cultural and
bureaucratrc system is not runnmq oplrmallv and communities affected by the economic enwonment is
still low and the social environment not function effectively
