Abstract

The aim of this research is to analize the correlation between pain and anxiety on the long bone fracture patients. This research used descriptive correlation design with cross sectional approach. The sampling technique explored convenience sampling with 30 long bone fracture patients which selected based on inclusion criteria. The equipment was used to measure pain is pain scale. Anxiety scales used for measuring Hamilton’s instrument. Data analysis applied were univariate and bivariate by using chi-square test with P value is taken from Fisher’s Exact Test. The result of this research showed obtained the p value 0.04 < α 0,05. it can be concluded that there is a significant relationship between the level of pain with the level of anxiety in patients with long-bone fractures. Results of this study recommend to health workers in hospitals to provide interventions that may reduce pain so that anxiety can also be reduced.
