Abstract
This research aimed at improving students learning outcomes in teaching
and learning process at SMP Negeri 2 Tembilahan by implementing cooperative
learning model of two stay two stray in mathematics lesson. This research uses
classroom research. It was conducted in two cycles. The activity and students
learning outcomes data were gained by collecting activity data by usin g
observation sheet and daily test. The data which were collected were score which
descriptive analyzed statistic. The result of study in the first cycle found that the
pescentage of students who achieve KKM is 71,43 % and the second cycle is 89,29
%, an increase from before the measures the percentage is only 64,29 %, and the
award based on the first cycle of three teams awarded a good team, two teams
awarded the great team and two team awarded the super team, while in the second
cycle of five teams awarded the great team and two teams awarded the super
team. The conclusing of the study showed that the implementing of cooperative
learning model for two stay two stray could improving students learning outcomes
mathematic.
