Abstract
The aim of this research is the improvement of students’ achievement
through the cooperative learning model tipe STAD in the subject of mathematic
on the class IV at SDN 011 Langgini Bangkinang in the odd semester of the
school yers 2012/2013. This research is classroom action research which means
that the teacher takes the role in the process of teaching. The data which have
been collected in this research are about the activity teacher and students and
about students’ achievement into two cycles. The data in this research are
collected by using observation, test and documentation. The subject of this
research is students class IV at SDN 011 Langgini, there are 17 students in the
class, consisting 7 male and 10 female. The main subject in this research is the
basic competence determinesthe angle of the non standard unit’s andunits degrees,
and the basic competence to determine the relationship between units of time,
length between units and between units of weight. The result of this research is
the cooperative learning model tipe STAD can be improved students’
achievement.
