Abstract
The purpose of this research is to find This study aims to determine the factors that influence medication adherence in patients with schizophrenia. Methodology on this research was a descriptive correlative with cross sectional approach. The samples in this research are 30 respondents were selected using purposive sampling technique. Measuring instruments used in the form of questionnaires that have amounted to 46 statements on validity and reliability. The analysis was used univariate and bivariate analysis by Chi-squared test. The results showed is no relationship between the level of knowledge schizophrenia patients, family support and economic factors with medication adherence in Mental Hospital Handsome Riau Province with p value> 0.05 (p value> α). Schizophrenia patients are expected to comply with the treatment program specializing in pharmacology program as one of the prevention of disease recurrence.
