Broiler chicken bone consist of extracellular matrixes. The extracellular matrixes consist of organic and inorganic matrixes. The organic matrixes consist of substances containing complex protein molecules that surrounded by collagen fibers. Organic matrixes have used as a carbon source for chicken bones activated charcoal. Chicken bones activated charcoal was made from carbonization and activation processes, using activator substance Na2CO3 with variation of concentration 2.5%, 5%, and 7.5%. In this research, chicken bones activated charcoal was used to adsorb lead cation in solution Pb(NO3)2. The lead cation has been analyzed by Atomic Absorption Spectrophotometer (AAS), while the chicken bones activated charcoal was analyzed by Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM), Energy Dispersive X - ray Spektroscopy (EDS), and Infra Red (IR). Adsorption (Q) of chicken bones activated charcoal on lead cation in a solution of Pb(NO3)2 with variation of concentration 10 mg/L, 50 mg/L, and 100 mg/L subsequently are 5.0578 mg/g, 24.7297 mg/g, and 49.9974 mg/g. Efficiency of chicken bones activated charcoal (E) are 99.5292% and 99.9947%en_US
