For purpose is to know the visibility distance of fishing gear’s material with different color (white, red, yellow and blue) in the waters, it expected can be applied to the fishing gear’s construction to obtain the best color material for fishing gear performance. The monofilament 2 mm in diameter and multifilament 10 mm in diameter was tied at wire frame (1 x 1 m). The wire frame was shot in 1-5 meter water depth with the distance 0.5-2 meter by underwater digital camera (Canon G11). The photograph result show that the visibility distances of monofilament was 0.5 meter in the waters. Meanwhile, the visibility distance of red and blue multifilament was 1 meter. However, the visibility distance of white and yellow multifilament was 1.5 meters. Furthermore, the effect of environment factors on the visibility distance of multifilament and monofilament were discussed in this paper.en_US
