Abstract

This study aims to improve learning outcomes through the application of mathematical models of cooperative learning techniques around the class in grade III SD Persiapan Negeri Suak Air Hitam Kecamatan Pekaitan Kabupaten Rokan Hilir academic year 2011/2012 on the subject matter of a flat wake. The research was conducted in the second semester of the school year 2011/2012. Forms of research is a class action. In this research will be done by 2 cycles. Each cycle consists of 4 meetings to present the material and 1 time daily tests. This research was conducted in the third grade SD Persiapan Negeri Suak Air Hitam Kecamatan Pekaitan Kabupaten Rokan Hilir with enrollment of 24 students comprising 12 males and 12 females with heterogeneous capabilities. The results showed that an increase in student learning outcomes, it is shown in the number of students who achieve mastery criteria Minimum 60 on the base score 10 students (41.67%), increased in the first cycle to 16 students (66.67%) and increased again in the second cycle to 21 students (87.5%). Implementation of cooperative learning model class around technique to improve learning outcomes in mathematics subject matter flat wake on grade III SD Persiapan Negeri Suak Air Hitam Kecamatan Pekaitan Kabupaten Rokan Hilir school year 2011/2012.
