Abstract
The objective of this study to determine the value of heterosis, heterobeltiosis, general combining ability (GCA) and specific combining ability (SCA) hybrid of half diallel crosses (half diallel). The experiment was conducted in experiment field of Bogor Agricultural University (IPB), Leuwikopo, Dramaga-Bogor from October 2012 to March 2013. The experiment was conducted by using Randomized Complete Block Design consisted by 21 chili pepper genotypes those were 15 genotypes from half-diallel crosses of IPB series and 6 parental genotypes. Every genotype has three- replicated and then got 63 experiment units. Every experiment unit consisted by 20 plants. The study showed that value of SCA and the highest heterosis to the variables fruit number per plant and fruit weight per plant reahed by genotype C111 x C120, genotype C2 x C111 on variables harvesting time and flesh fruit thickness, genotype C5 x C159 on variables fruit length and flowering. The highest heterobeltiosis value was reached by genotype C111 x C120 on fruit number per plant, fruit weight total and harvesting time. The highest GCA value on variables flesh fruit thickness and fruit weight per plant was reached by genotype C5 and then variable flowering, harvesting time, fruit number per plant, fruit length were reached by genotype C2, C19, C111, C120, in respectively.
