Abstract: This research aims to improve student’s mathematics learning
outcomes by implementing cooperative learning model of Students Teams
Achievement Division (STAD) type in class Va SDN 002 Sipungguk, in odd
semester of academic years 2012/2013. Subjects were students of class of Va
SDN 002 Sipungguk, totaling 16 people consisting of 12 male students and 4
female students. Students in this class are heterogeneous in terms academic and
gender. It was conducted in two cycles. The activity of a students learning
outcomes data were gained by collecting activity data by using observation sheet
and test. Analysis of the data used descriptive statistical analysis that describes the
activities of the teacher and students, analysis of learning outcomes and successful
measurements. The result of the first cycle found that percentage of student who
achieve mastery minimum criteria ( 65) on the base score 10 students (62,5%),
increased in the firsh cycle to 12 students (75%) and increased again in the second
cycle to 15 students (93,75%). The conclusion of this study indicate that
cooperative learning model type of Student Team Achieviment Division (STAD)
can improve student’s mathematic learning outcomes.
