Abstract
The purpose of this study are, to know the implementation of verbal
communication in enhancing their work productivity of Public Relations officer of
the Regional Secretariat of Riau Province. This study used descriptive qualitative
method of data collection based on the reality on the ground through observation,
interviews, and documentation. Informants in this study there are 14 employees,
while the object is the implementation of verbal communication between Bureau of
Public Relations officer of the Regional Secretariat of Riau province in improving
work productivity Data analysis that used the interactive model of data analysis by
using the techniques of data validity checking the extension of participation and
triangulation. The results of this study indicate that: Implementation of verbal
communication between the Bureau of Public Relations officer of the Regional
Secretariat Riau Province in improving labor productivity is in the form of oral
communication interpersonal face-to-face conversation and telephone
communication while writing in the form of disposition, letters and reports. The
output or productivity of employee work processes such as: speech, outdoor media,
special publications, letters, reports, photographs and videos, and clippings
