Abstract

A study on bioecology and habitat characteristics of sea turtle nesting ground was carrid out from May to June 2012 . The present study aimed at finding out the bioecology and physical characteristics of nesting ground of sea turtles. Apparently, 7 individu craeked turtle (Lepidochelys olivacea) were encounterred. Average of 69 cm in length, and carapac width of 19 cm, depth of step of 5 cm, and length of track of 12 m. Intutidal were flat with slope of 0.93-7,11o. Vegetation found were coconut (Cocos nucifera), pine tree (Casuarina equisetifolia), ketaping, ceriop sp. The sand colour were brown sand, water temperature of 29-30o C and salinity range 33-34 ‰, the water pH measured was 8.
