Abstract
This study aims to determine the perceptions of students taking courses on the
management of field botany biology lab in biology education courses FKIP University of
Riau. descriptive research, purposive sampling techniques, the students of 2008 and 2009
are already taking botany courses totaling 42 people. parameters used are the students'
perceptions of the 6 indicators such as planning, organization, administration, security,
maintenance, and supervision. used to determine students' perceptions enclosed
questionnaire and the data were analyzed descriptively. the results showed that students'
perceptions of management education biology lab, the planning indicators mean of 2.92
(good), structuring indicators mean 2.45 (enough), administrative indicators mean 2.55
(enough), the security indicator mean 1.92 (less), the average treatment indicator 2.85
(good), and the control indicators mean 2.49 (enough). It can be concluded that the
perceptions of students who take courses in the field of botany to the management of
biological laboratories in biology education courses FKIP Riau University obtained a mean
of 2.53 with enough categories.
