dc.description.abstractPyrazoline is a 5-membered ring heterocyclic compound which consist of three carbon atoms and two nitrogen atoms in adjacent position. These compounds have diverse biological activities such as antibacterial, antifungal, anticancer, antiinflamatory, antidepressant, and antioxidants due to the N-N bond on the pyrazoline ring. This research was conducted to synthesize 3-(4-bromophenyl)-5-(4-methoxyphenyl)-1-phenyl-4,5-dihydro-pyrazole (PF-4Br-4OMe). Pyrazoline compound (PF-4Br-4OMe) was synthesized using a one-pot three component reaction of 4-methoxybenzaldehyde, 4-bromoacetophenon, and phenylhydrazine using a strong base catalyst of sodium hydroxide (NaOH) by microwave irradiation method. The purity of the compound was investigated by using TLC test, melting point and HPLC analysis. Pyrazoline compound were characterized using UV, FTIR, NMR and HRMS spectroscopy. The result showed that the pyrazoline compound resulting in a yield of 76,76%. Pyrazoline compound was screened through toxicity test using Brine Shrimp Lethality Test (BSLT) method, and the result showed that pyrazoline compound (PF-4Br-4OMe) was not toxic with LC50 was 733,57 μg/mL.en_US
